When the color of your skin gives you a benefit or a detractor, it's discrimination no matter how you slice the "cake" . A person cannot choose what color they are, and one color/ race should not get special treatment just because they look a certain way even though they may be equal in all other respect to means and abilities.
But there is still Ads on your videos... It's ok though still love your channel and YT does have to pay for their servers soo.... at least there is a skip function so that I can get to watching your videos. ;)
Thanks for watching! What happened: We turned off monetization on every video back then, but viewers said they were still seeing ads. Apparently even if you demonetize your video RU-vid still places ads and they just keep all the money. So if there are ads shown no matter what we just turned on monetization again a few weeks later so at least YT isn't keeping it all.
Thanks! I'm sure they would be thrown out but in the meantime it costs us thousands to fight it. They can also do things with RU-vid like copyright claims and eventually with enough circumstances we could be banned. RU-vid will basically always side with the claimant if they are the trademark holder.
That's how you know that you guys are very effective at what you do, But here's a suggestion how about making a video to show aspiring investors where to look for this information and what to look for when you receive the documents, since these franchises are acting like you are providing illegal information, because there would be nothing illegal about that. So how about it @franchiseCityOnline ? (I love to see that video)
Thanks! the problem with people doing it solo is there are so many things to know, each industry has different challenges, there are demographic considerations, their operational abilities, proper financing, exit strategy, creating financial projections, each FDD is 200+ pages long, and they wouldn't have access to the insider data that we are exposed to being in the industry. We hear of a lot of the nasty things that happen that often aren't publicized. It would be like learning to become your own lawyer or doctor. We've been walking buyers through the diligence steps for 15 years so our process is quite comprehensive. (and free as part of the broker process) Thanks for the comment!
Corporatism in America is beyond out of control. It's smothering both freedom of speech and Free Enterprise... I don't blame anyone for BDS'ing Google, Meta, X or any of the other janky corporatist "antisocial media" platforms that are doing harm to the world!
I'd love to think there's a way to cleverly get the information across or at least clue people into how to get your real data, all while you can enjoy some ad revenue. I believe in you! Also, i'd RUN to Rob's animal channel.
Real heroes are never seen! you guys literally saved people MILLIONS!!! take a bow Franchise City! I myself have made ppl watch certain videos you made when they said to me "did you hear Amazon Delivery is only $10K to start?" ... or when someone said to me, "I wanna invest in a Franchise, something like a 7 Eleven". Those ppl thanked me after I fwd them those videos and I would always say "don't thank me, thank Franchise City! those ppl are doing God's work"!
I Applaud "Franchise City" for Your Honesty and UNBIASED Reviews of these Various Franchises!! The Federal Government & Media in Gerneral both try to target and shut down anyone who exposes the Negatives or Lies about a situation that Only benefits Themselves
Ridiculous! That's how you know your content is impactful and that RU-vid PRETENDS to be unbiased, like taking away the thumbs down. You've saved myself and thousands of others from making a mistake that could literally ruin our lives! Maybe consider sending them a cease and desist letter and threaten to sue for censorship that's negatively impacting your business financially.
What about LinkedIn Pulse? That would capture a lot of business focused visitors and entry level franchise prospects. Rumble and/or Bitchute are also both worth considering as RU-vid like backup platforms. Are the comments posted to your videos on TikTok coherent and relatively smart? That would say a lot about the audience there. I'm skeptical about the value of TikTok for business targeted content.
Unfortunately many videos got deleted. It wasn't too bad at first but lately its gotten a lot worse. There are still quite a few live from over the years - fingers crossed we can keep those up!
We appreciate the honest and factual information you have given us in a world of "sales and marketing" where your money and life could be at risk for making bad business choices
I am just lost for words but yet not surprising. Your videos are so helpful for beginners or professionals alike but I guess dictatorship views it differently. Heartbreaking
I just wantnto say thank you for the years of insightful no-nonsense content. I respect your commitment to both running and educating us on what it means to be a calculated and competent business. Will there be a FC blog or newsletter in the future? I'd happily subscribe.
Thank you! We still plan on posting, just not the reviews. Probably pivoting to more franchise interviews, maybe businesses for sale listings. We actually have a franchise interview coming up this week with a "rage room". Hopefully if we post more content RU-vid will love us again 🙂
You might not have a lot of money, BUT you got something money can't buy....INTEGRITY and HONESTY. Thanks for all the great work and research. I have always known for 20 years that franchises were only in it for themselves but you helped put more light on it.
Good idea - the problem is there are so many things people have to know, each industry has different challenges, there are demographic considerations, their operational abilities, proper financing, exit strategy, creating financial projections, and they wouldn't have the insider data that we are exposed to being in the industry. I have been in commercial real estate as a principal broker for over 20 years and own NNN properties nationally. The tenant is one of the LAST things I look at as LANDLORD. I look at the DIRT most importantly. If the tenant goes dark is the rent replaceable with my release costs ( tenant improvements, leasing commissions, attorney fees, lost rent downtime, etc.) In alot of cases it is not and the person buying these properties to own for passive income with the tenants in place can lose millions. Commercial developers hold the strongest tenants to keep in portfolio unless someone pays a crazy low cap rate and super high price. The stuff they let go for higher cap rates is weak tenant, over market rents, and inferior dirt locations. They cull the crap from their portfolio. It amazes me the stuff people buy either a franchise to run and operate or the real estate and land on the landlord side. I typically only like a handful of properties out of the thousands I review each week nationally. The rest are overpriced junk. Most QSR restaurants when times were good had 15 to 20% profit margins off of gross sales. No many closing down or might eek out 5% to 7% a year. If you are doing that might as well own the real estate instead and stay passive instead of dealing with lots of employees to run a business.
@@FranchiseCityOnline I think you do a great service to the people thinking of buying the franchises and the franchise sellers not everyone’s meant to be a business owner and franchises need to realize that I know their model growth growth growth at all costs but doing that sometimes you get involved with people they just aren’t meant to run your business correctly and that leads to bad consequences for both sides
@@mikejanacone8328 Thanks for the support! And very true, not everyone makes a good franchise owner. The good franchises let people know they aren't a good fit - the bad ones will take anyone's money 😞
I assumed that you were getting legal threats when you responded to my request yesterday. I have come to know your channel as transparent. I appreciate it. I see this video as a direct response to my request from yesterday. I did watch the video link that you shared. I think it is very cool and professional that you made this 5 minute video to explain why you couldn't review the company that I requested yesterday. I didn't think I would get a response. I posted in a community post that was a few years old. Thank you again for responding. I watched a documentary on the business that I asked about and it's not doing well. It's privately owned and the investment company is spending billions to make it relevant to take it public again. That company went bankrupt in the early 2000s and also in 2020. I actually go there and enjoy the business, but it doesn't seem like a solid investment. Sadly. Keep up the great videos. I look forward to seeing them. Again, thank you for responding so quickly. This channel deserves a few million subs and even more views.
Had been meaning to do this video for a while - so thanks for the reminder! Yes, that franchise has experienced quite a few issues, and the market in general with larger footprint "sit down" establishments have been mostly seeing a steady decline. From what I heard they are now more focused on international expansion vs the USA. Inflation has also been disproportionately hitting margins in the food industry.
@@FranchiseCityOnline I also heard that they are looking to expand outside the USA. I have young kids and I've thought about how cool it would be to run over of those businesses. Unfortunately, it's not looking good. The video I watched was on a series on RU-vid called bankrupt. Maybe they'll come back. I don't know. There are plenty of successful businesses, that we all recognize, that have been bankrupt. We'll see what the next decade brings for them. I am curious to know what you have in store for your channel now without reviews? I genuinely enjoy learning about them. I also agree that it's not with putting out that content for minimal profit on RU-vid.
I believe Canada does have them. I don't think it would get that far as these haven't got to the point of monetary damages and we always pull them down anyway. I guess we have been lucky because other bloggers have been dragged through the whole process!
Her membership wasn't cancelled because she complained. Her membership was cancelled because she took pictures of a member in the locker room, who was allowed to be their based on their policies. Businesses are free to set their policies how they want it. I have to assume she was able to read their policies at the time she signed up. Not ever transgender individual is transitioned or chooses to change in that way.
I kinda figures that was what was going on. Damn shame too, your channel's edge was what set you apart from the rest. Wish you the best on your new channel - hopefully those chipmunks don't start sharing negative commentary about the Jesus Chicken Company or the Clown's Kingdom
