Stage 1 tune with intake and dp runs significantly better than mhd's shit stage 2 tune. Ran stage 2 and did not like it. Went to stage 1 and it was much much better. Stage 2 is not proper for a b58 with catless dp and intake added knock timing fuckery i highly recommend people not doing a stage 2 unless they have it proffessionaly inspected. Garanteed there is something not right with an mhd stage 2 provided map.
All these mod with the right tune u will b close to 500 yall crazy bmws are so down tuned bc of cats alone and anything turbo with a new tune opens it so much these are great to make power with little money and that goes for the b58 and the 4.4 tt. Up pipe intercooler intakes and down pipes with a tune easy 200 hp lol if u owned 1 for real n u a real car guy ud agree.
When you ordered that vertex piston where did you get it from and which one? On the motosport website it shows a bunch of different ones. A and b pistons stock bore and then pro race ones. I’d like the one with 2 rings like you have but not sure which one. Is that a pro race piston or the stock bore one?
i have a 2013 335i, it has the n55 engine, which has a plastic charge pipe stock, doing a tune i blew it up immediately (had to get an aluminum one) does the b58 have a plastic charge pipe?
Good evening, I would like to kindly ask you a question. A short time ago I purchased for my Mini F56 JCW year 2015, the pair of front Brembo discs code 09.D179.21 with relative pads code P 06 097, and attached wear sensor. After careful running-in and despite the braking being powerful and without particular defects, I noticed right from the start a slight but constant noise even with the pedal not pressed that increases in intensity in proportion to the speed, which amplifies if I go under an underpass or when the sound bounces off parked cars but especially on guardrails. It seems like a continuous triiiill that changes tone when braking... I raised the car and put it in N, the wheels spin freely apart from a slight rubbing between the disc and the pad... I therefore ask you for some clarification on this matter.. I know that the slotted ones and with non-through holes are a little noisier, but with the pedal not pressed we shouldn't hear any noise or trill whatever. Could it be that these pads are directional and I inadvertently mounted them backwards? There is no left or right or any direction arrow on the pad... I await your response. Best regards.
Which is why I switched over to the BMW platform. Power is cheap. I love my 335i N54 Monaco Blue Sedan. I use MHD. JB4 still got research to do. But essentially I have all plus a few more mods you named. This weekend? Upgraded turbos. 💁🏾♂️
Hello, I watch your videos on RU-vid. I will buy a torque wrench for the K1100lt motorcycle engine. 20-120 N.M Will an adjustable torque wrench be enough or should I buy 25-220?
How did this go? Did you ever put some weight inside and then go over bumpy roads? I think the sheet metal in the rear arch would have sliced your back tires all around the tread.

Guys dont take all of what he said serious! Yes our man out here did many of us/you a good deed probably and while some things he said are right (downpipe, tune power gain) you wont get around 20hp more from just a different air filter... the stock ones are most of the time more than sufficient for such mild tunes... you would need to go into the 700hp and more to actually gain any HP from allowing "more" air into the engine just from a different air filter... the stock ones can provide even more air than the engine can use around 500HP.. so dont let yourself get fooled into buying too much stuff that you wont need... depending on your expected results. Furthermore a bigger intercooler, while being good for maintaining power over longer periods of time instead of just small pulls, needs to be picked in accordance to your actual flow/air volume that the turbo is pushing. Our man here did say this right.. the reason for it being tho is that too big of an intercooler can lead too a bigger turbo lag because it can take too long to fill and pressurise the system after the blowoff valve releases the pressure. On the other had a smaller intercooler can lessen the turbo lag on the one hand but additionally it would drastically increase intake temperatures, which in turn decreases power output, engine efficiency and make the engine overheat way faster, which again in turn can damage the engine. . . So to sum up: -- Buy Downpipes/High Flow Cats -- Buy a slightly bigger/better intercooler (optional, but recommended) -- Buy a tuning tool (recommendation: MHD Flasher; licence will be bound to the specific car but its A cheaper and B its very intuitive and allows for way easier and more control over what gets written to the engine + idiot proof... you cannot really make anything wrong with it, just make sure to stay honest and if the app asks you e.g. if you have a downpipe installed to not say yes when you dont because it will adjust the values depending on what you tell the app and wrong input can lead to worse driving experience than without the tune... MHD tunes are pretty safe tho. Work like a charm!)
Any down pipes with stock turbos are just going to wear those small turbos so much more quick u might as well just save for stage 2 turbos if your down there!
Intake is a waste of money, just makes noise. To make the most power(on a budget) with the stock turbo you need to upgrade the fuel pump, catless downpipe, and a tune (not jb4 for max potential). Videos like this with misinformation suck, please fact check when modding your cars people. Even with these mods 500 might not be reached without doing a few other things i.e. meth injection. The B58 is an amazing platform, I have a 340i and have a catless downpipe, dorch s2, mhd e40 tune, and xhp s3. My car feels wicked fast but not sure 500hp fast 🤷♂️
