Nice video folks, we got off it the morning you got on it having done the maiden cruise at Xmas/New Year. Seems strange seeing it with all the decorations having been removed.👍👍
Thanks for your comments-no sign Of Christmas on board- staff work very hard in every way. Heard there were huge teething problems on the Christmas cruise, mainly smoothed out by the time we disembarked in Barbados. Still enjoyed the experience though!
It was good to see arvia not so packed! Most vlogs ive watched the ship is manic ,we are sailing September next year thanks for sharing your experience
Thanks for your feedback. When we sailed it was at 90% capacity and as you can see always find a quiet space. Everyone’s expectations are different. My advice would be go with an open mind and you will enjoy it🙂
We only had coffee and cake one afternoon in the buffet, so unable to pass comment on the buffet. We felt it was a little chaotic and not well laid out. Cake was very nice though! 😊
Good video. I have done the Guild Wheel 12 times now in all seasons and once at twilight. I find going anti clockwise really hard and not as enjoyable as clockwise which I think has a better flow. Happy days.
Thanks for your positive feedback. It’s changed quite a bit since the new road and new houses but is still very well signposted. We always enjoy it when we go.
Thank you for your feedback. It was our first time to Greece and thoroughly enjoyed it. My next video on cruising some of the islands will be posted soon. Greece is such a beautiful place.
Only just found your channel whilst still waiting for my CV40. Wow all the times I have driven the A66 I hadn't realised there was a public footpath crossing there, looked like a challenge a bit like when we were on a site on the Rome ring road and reception said they wouldn't advise us cycling in to Rome. We did and survived and it added to the trip. Cheers K.
Hi Ray and Sue, lovely to see you both out and about again and heading North. Appleby looked nice. Bloody hell crossing that road looked really scary 😦 We loved it at the blacksmiths we did a vlog there for an actual wedding for some CV group members. Was great fun. Hoddom is nice. Also went up the repentance tower. Ellie and I had a lovely hour up there. You crammed so much into that little getaway and you were right it would have been rude not to sample the whisky 🥃 nice to see you guys out vlogging again. 🙏🐶🐶🚐👍🧙♂️
Thanks for your kind reply. Heading to Anglesey later this week. Have you been and any if so any must see sights? It’s not that big a place- I’m sure we will see most things driving around in the CV! 🚐
You can't beat a nice pub stopover. Made me a bit thirsty actually.. The lady in the ticket office seemed very helpful and chatty . Loved the canal walk. How nice of that pub to allow you stay even though they were not open. Thanks for posting the vlog. Lovely :)
We are really getting into the pub stopovers-that's what's so great about the vans, park up and you're in the pub-plus you can feel safe in having a drink (or two)!
Thanks 👍 This was our first attempt, primarily it it for ourselves as a video diary, but then if others can gain information from it, then I'm happy to share!
What a lovely vlog - pub stops is something we are looking forward to trying very soon. Looks like a lovely area. Nice the owners of the pub which was closed let you stay over. Your CV looks grand in the video - all the best, David 👍
Thanks David, yes Pub StopOvers are the way forward for us, particularly when you only can spare a weekend and at this time of year too when the weather is either cold, rainy, dark! I urge you to give them a go, all the ones we have visited have been very friendly. Great at the end of the evening and it’s just a stumble back to the van!
Hi Sorry just another couple of questions 😩 What make of outside chairs are the ones you have here on the video? Where in the van do you store them? They look ideal Secondly what drone do you use? Sorry so many questions, but hopefully we will be getting a CV 40 some day! Thanks again Neil
We have two sets, the lounger are Dukdalf Brilliante with the Fortissimo foot rest. They are Dutch but extremely lightweight and comfortable. They go in a bag and store in the back of the van whilst travelling, then either in the cab when on site or under the van outside. Our others are Isabella Directors chairs which fit nicely behind the drivers seat when in transit. Which ones we take depends if we are touring or staying on site. The drone we use is a Mavic Mini 2, very easy to operate and weighs less than 250g.
I am asking people who own Elddis CVs How are you finding them? How’s the Elddis build quality? We were at the NEC and had a look round a CV40 Testing the bed for size! I’m 6ft 1 and just fit I see you have the Dealer special, what lead time was it ? I’m interested in the auto. Looks good Neil In Wigan
Hi Neil. We love ours. The CV40 has the transverse bed layout, so definitely try before you buy, however there is the CV20 which has longer beds as you sleep the other way, plus the CV60 and CV80 are other options too. We find build quality typical of an entry model, which it is quite frankly, but we have had no problems (yet)!
Hi both Any chance of a van review? Quite interested in a CV40, but unsure about the bed size. I am 6ft plus. How tall are you Ray? Do you find lateral bed dig enough? Cheers Neil from Wigan
Hi Neil I know there are a few reviews of the CV40 on You Tube. I'm 5ft 10 and don't have a problem at all, but I know it is if concern for some people. Do you lie in bed straight? I know I don't. What I like about the CV40 is it gives you flexibility. Sometimes we sit and eat in the dinette, sometimes we choose to eat in the lounge watching TV, nice to have the choice. If there's only 2 of you maybe look at the CV20 as the lounge is longer do can lay parallel with the van rather than transverse. Hope you get there in the end. Thanks Ray.
Absolutely brilliant guys. We thoroughly enjoyed that. Nice mix of video and stills. Very nicely done. Again it was excellent to meet up on Skye. All the best. 👍🧙♂️x
