I love your work. Watching these videos is so inspiring and relaxing. Thank you for sharing. Can I ask what kind of paper you use for your handbound sketchbooks? Kind regards, Annelies
Thank you, Annelies! I’m truly glad you find it inspiring ☺️ Now, I collect all kinds of paper - brown bag, regular paper, craft paper… and then I gather them in sketchbooks. It's usually not extremely good quality, because the idea is to recycle. However, I also made one with high-quality watercolour paper. This particular sketch is drawn on inexpensive paper typically used for quick sketches by art students. I bought it at a local art supply store. Nothing fancy, tbh. 😄
Interestingly enough, I remember it as a nice and cozy rainy day. Dejan doesn’t. I prefer my version. 😁 Thank you. It's nice to relive these memories. ☺️
It was the same for me, seeing all your photos and videos im the last two weeks. It was so much fun. Every evening I opened Instagram just to see what you posted for that day. Can’t wait to see you in person to hear about your experiences ☺️
Please, please tell me where did you buy it? I can’t for the life of me remember how that tea appeared in our home. Dejan is convincing me that we got it as a present. I, on the other hand, have a feeling that we bought it at Søstrene Grene.
Thank you Teresa. I’m glad you like it. Truth be told, if I used regular sketchbook I would never finish. 😁 But creating your own sketchbook is as fun as sketching ☺️
Thank you, Hege! That cabin gave us a lot of wonderful memories. Shame we never managed to be there at the same time. That would be one awesome gaming hyttetur!❤️☺️
Seeing the world through your eyes is always amazing and inspiring - the way you notice details, and make the memories come alive! Beautiful sketchbook and video, and great memories <3
This was such an inspiring video! I'm planning a short trip to Seoul soon and this gave me so many ideas to - hopefully - fill my sketchbook with. I love how you captured so many different landscapes at such a small size, and especially love the way you draw buildings. The red house you mentioned, too, immediately caught my eye! The use of different toned papers is such a beautiful touch. ❤ Also, as someone who loves board and card games, that spread was fun to see!
Thank you so much. I’m glad you like it. I really draw tiny landscapes, don’t I? 😁 Trip to Seoul sounds exciting. I went to Japan several months ago. I was there for two weeks and I’m still waiting for the right moment to start that sketchbook. So many things to sketch and write about from that trip. It’s probably better when the journey is shorter. Especially if you wish to document every moment. I wish you a great time in Seoul and fun with documenting it. Also, hello, fellow gamer! 👋😊
I love this video! One of my new years resolutions this year is spending more time playing. And you have already contributed to that 🙌 I am looking forward to the next time ♥️
Thank you for honesty. "DREAM written down with date becomes a GOAL GOAL broken down into steps becomes a PLAN a PLAN backed by ACTION becomes REALITY " but in reality i recommend book Atomic habits :)
Me too. Tbh, I come from the country where Christmas is celebrated completely different, and on a different day because I’m orthodox. But the coziness of Norwegian Christmas is at another level. Here you need all the candles, cushions, and warm atmosphere to survive the winter.
I love your videos so much! They are so calming and inspiring. Totally one of my references. Congratulations on being such an amazing artist =) Sorry for the english! Hugs from Brazil! =)
Thank you Mirella so much! I am glad that you find an inspiration here because that is my main goal with this channel. Btw your English is good, no need for apologies. I’m not native speaker either and I know how frustrating it can be to find a right way to express yourself ☺️ Big hug from Oslo!
Thanko you so much. We were all beginners once. Just keep going and you will see the improvement even sooner than you think. I know it’s a cliche, but it’s really true. And it’s not all about the look of the finished piece. It’s the whole process: looking for things you want to draw, observing, thinking about the materials you want to use, planning the page, or not planning at all… just sitting and drawing. Being present and having dialog with your artwork.
I'm definitely still quite often too focused on realism instead of creative choices, so watching your abstractions and exploration here was very interesting! I love the final touches, too, like adding the lettering and frames. Beautiful work! <3
I think realism is an amazing way to immerse yourself in your work. I believe it is excellent for exercising your focus. I remember when I was doing it it helped me to get into that flow and I was there for hours. My only problem was that I would get bored with the same drawing after a while. And realism demands a big chunk of time. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, adding other elements to a drawing can give it another dimension. 😊 Thank you!
