300 prc but what bullet? Iv had 3 , 300 prc so far iv taken game with the 225 eldm but didnt like them i pretty much use nothing but the 215 berger target hybrid or the 245 eol now. I also like the 230 otm berger . And for monos the 181 hammer hunter i typically dont run monos for the most part im a huge fan of fragmentation
@stephenferguson6363 212 eldx, but my shot placement on the first shot was dog shit, so not the bullets fault. The eldx and eldms have worked amazingly for us over the years. Good choice on the Berger's 👌 I'm the same not a huge fan of the monos
@tonygillahan I have used the 212 eldx on a few elk,deer and black bear and definitely like them and the 208 eldm works real good as well I actually like it more than the 225 eldm. But good work on the channel
Practical isn’t sticking your barrel out something like that, try taking a position up further back and fire through the opening, it’s different trust me. As a sniper would in a building or behind cover, you aim past/through your concealment, not while in it. Idk, plus it would make for a cool clip I guess 🤷♂️

Watched this back a bunch and it's very hard to tell but looks like a high shoulder shot to me and a ricochet off of the left shoulder. The only thing that would ricochet that bad in its back is the spine surely and that would have anchored it immediately even if it was only a graze. Unfortunately i think it was a well placed shot and you won't see him again. Always something to learn tho and this is a great opportunity for many others to learn from this and look for blood sign even if the shot appeared bad.

It's been real foggy up here to man was on a nice big sambar stag on the weekend fog came in for a second then cleared seen a stag rubbing a tree in the exact same spot shot him turned out to be another smaller stag seen the big boy run off just behind him
