Horses that race at 2 have fewer injuries over the long term than horses that wait till 3. Science has proven it. It may be unhealthy to start that young in most sports, but not in racing.
@@Justmeandjesus19 the horse was 4 at the time of the race, she’s called jukebox annie if you want to check that for yourself. or you could keep being ignorant and make up your facts
@@Justmeandjesus19 i knew because i was there the day of that race and i remember its name, if you googled “jukebox annie racehorse” it would come up with the racing post website and details about her. she is now 5, that race was her first race and she was 4 years old, clearly just overwhelmed by all the new things around. the crowd cheering and lots of people about can scare them a bit on their first race. once she had said she didnt want to run, by throwing the jockey off they ended up withdrawing her from the race and she didnt run :) and yes im aware they run some of them at 2 years old, i own racehorses and i don’t agree with that. ive got a 2 year old i bred who’s just living in a field doing no work other than basic handling etc and will be for another 1.5 - 2 years until he can be ridden. i also want to make it clear to you, we are not in racing for the money, at all. the only people making money are the people racing in the very top races, which are the same few owners and the same few trainers. the rest of us are in a race worth £3k to the winner (which we usually don’t win) and we still pay same the training fees which are crazy expensive, about 20k+ a year. most horses only run for 6-9 months once a month then they go off until the ground is nice for them again.
I am not an expert thererefore all of those beautiful horses are just stunning. I could just look at them for hours. I have discovered than Arabian horses, being highly intelligent, become agitated and start to run around in their enclosure, if a stranger starts watching them. They expect some action to come. I have a soft spot for the "dove grey" mantel colour, maybe because unsusual to me. My compliments. I just know that horses are strong but delicate animals. To be able to reach this top breading level, it becomes an art. Thank you for the vision. Yours faithfully.
