A channel dedicated to sim racing, mainly with a focus on the simulator iRacing. Exciting races, guides, latest news, and live streaming content, all from an amateur Andy's perspective. Come along on my journey from zero racing experience of any kind to becoming a sim racing alien (in my dreams), and see what we both can learn along the way.
I don't play iRacing but I want to start do you really have such a problem with cars? I expected to see a huge number of cars, but then I saw the news that they will add 720 when ACC already has 720 evo
Initially there was a technical reason limiting the number of different manufacturer & class of car that could be on the track at the same time. But at the beginning of the year they bumped up the number significantly, so more GT3s have been coming out, albeit slowly. Then on top of that they are sometimes slow at releasing newer versions, depending on who the manufacturer is it seems. (Ferrari & Porsche are quick to see updates, while the McLaren took 10 years!)
Top 15 most popular 1) Daytona Road Course 2) Nurburgring Combined 3) Circuit Des 24 Heures Du Mans 4) Spa 5) Watkins Glen 6) Monza 7) Road America 8) Red Bull Ring 9) Road Atlanta 10) Sebring 11) Hockenheimring 12) Imola 13) Interlagos 14) Silverstone 15) Suzuka
Glad they are updating the MC. I just hope its BOP is OK as I do get annoyed when new cars are overtuned and become the meta. Regardless I will be picking it up and painting the walls with my fenders
I never did buy the original but will give this one a go for sure. I'm so curious how their new split algorithm will work to maybe prevent BOP metas. Seems like a tall order.
Yeah, it should be the Evo, as it's what the Pfaff team races. It just didn't make sense in the structure of the particular tweet to add in the word I think.
Sorry to any chatters during the live stream as my widget wasn't showing YT chat as I expected. There was no rain during this particular race for those curious about racing it later this weekend.
Last word on the story, it seems like iRacing nipped the issue in the bud as the 24hr of Spa has completed without any DDoS incidents over the weekend. 🙌
League practice was cancelled last night. I work super hard and get to race for about 3 hours total a week. It's my only alone time. This kind of things really pisses me off!
To be fair if I spent the money that’s required to play this game just to get banned for some stupid reason and lose everything I paid for I’d probably be pretty upset too.
I would hope a Ban from IRacing should never be for a “Stupid Reason”. If someone is malicious or careless enough to participate in actions detrimental to the sport, the service, or violate the rights of others, they should be banned. Any serious sim racer would appreciate such enforcement. I put a lot of investment into IRacing, time, money, and emotional investment. If the IRacing was littered with malice and carelessness I would not respect the Service and I would not participate.
I was in a race yesterday for over an hour and had 2 laps to go, it kicked everyone out and shut down the race 😑 it didn’t even register a result for the race and I was in the top 4…this has never happened while playing ACC
This has never happened while playing iRacing before either and I can garantie you that the security precautions iRacing has are way better than the ones of acc.
When they say "but thats obviously really expensive" well yeah! And they should pay it to make sure we can play the game securely. They make an absolute tonne of money off us. They should pump some of the money to make sure we get the experience we pay for
$500 for a DDOS service? Someone is raking in the money, there used to be a while ago DDOS tools out in the open and insanely easy to find. That being said I can understand people getting pissed at iR and DDOSing it. Wouldn't be the first time someone pulled that on a game or sim after all and won't be the last time. There are hacking groups out there who DDOS for hire as was said in the video and for every Lizardsquad that got caught, there are five or six more that haven't been caught yet and that IT pro's post was spot on, the only way to be DDOS safe is to not have your machine connected to the interwebs. Hopefully iR and the internet as a whole get a grip on this
Been on the service for over 2 years now, this is not a common issue. Usually only goes down for major updates and maintenance, which gets done quickly.
My first guess would be someone who in the last six months was caught and banned for some type of hack that involves changing the temperature of the track or grip levels.
I did a 40 min gt3 race at brands hatch and I didnt get to see the results and it didn't let me see the results. I saved the replay but everything from that race, ir and sr gain + the footage has disappeared. Its a mystery haha
So wild! Its funny you mentioned ACC. I prefer Iracing, but in a pinch, it might get the job done?? haha probably not. BTW, i just did an f4 race, so its back up in Arizona 👍
@@noah_73understanding clearly isn't one of yours. I was stating facts. You personally attacking me like the keyboard warrior you are lol. Get a life little man.
It worked on me for all of half an hour! Then I started a rennsport online race and because it's a free game it's full of idiots ramming me on every single corner. Then I realized the whole reason I only enjoy iracing
I did exactly that, lol. No iRacing working… let’s download Rennsport. But it is such a visual mess on triples, I did about 1/4 of a lap on Monza and turned it off
I’ve had no luck at Daytona over the last few years. Got hooked last week in the 3 hour 15th to 54th. The Ford was ok. I’m more of a BMW fan. Have you run the BMW?
I've definitely grown to love Daytona over the years. The BMW was what I mainly used when I first started GT3 racing, but haven't run with it in quite some time.
