I miss my dad❤ we loved this & it was ok for me even at 12 to watch. He always made friends with the guy he was meant to be duffin up. No bad language & he didnt even use that gun in the jar with coffee grains. James S Garner was great & so was my dear daddy❤
Growing up in Germany in the 70s and 80s I loved the crime shows Rockford, Kojak, Streets of San Francisco, Petrocelli, Starsky & Hutch, Vega$, Magnum, Miami Vice.
I loved the Rockford files. My mom had a gold Firebird just like the one in the show. It was so cool to drive around in it when I was a teenager. As other's have said I never saw a bad episode. I loved his anti--hero character. He made mistakes like a real person would. It made him very relatable. I think that was mostly Jim Garner. There was never another PI like him on TV.
One of my favorite Detective show of all time. Growing up in '70's Hollywood I got to see a lot of location filming and the shows I saw filmed the most were Rockford Files, Adam-12, Barnaby Jones, Starsky and Hutch, Barretta, Police Woman. I'm probably forgetting one or two. Thanks for the video.

Loved it when Lance would show up in his big white Cadillac convertible. Jim would tell him what happened and then the cops would show up and ignore Jim and act like Lance figured it all out when it was Jim who did. Tom Selleck got some good air time then.
Man that was great ! One of the best ever ! I've never seen any Rockfish bloopers. This show is so bitter / sweet for me . Gardner and my dad could of been brothers. We watched this show every day. Dam now I'm older then he was. Boy the higher ups screwed up canceling the show mid season. That Hillbilly bastard😂 great getting Quincy in there. Great era will never be duplicated
I always watched The Rockford Files every week, and James always seemed like such a nice guy on other shows and his commercials but I have to admit, when he was worried about the camera rolling it looks like he could be kind of a "Dick" instead of a James.
