So wonderful and so happy to find one without gushy romance! Story was very interesting and kept my attention and drew me in 😊 thank you for putting this on you tube I don’t have time to read books but I love to so at least I can listen to audiobooks while getting my work done ❤. I think this is even a book my teenagers would enjoy!
Very helpful to see a full play, but how did you manage to have so many cards on hand? Played my first game today with Zayn and Aurie, Apep Scenario and City of Sorcery Realm, but after a while I had like 4 unsolved events with no trinkets/enchantments, slowly decreasing hp and maybe 2 cards on each characters hand.
One of the challenges of Zayn is he can go through so many cards because of his abilities, especially with only 2 players when you can play 2 cards per turn which means prioritizing effects that let you draw more matter. When you play 2-player with Zayn, it almost forces you to always use his draw 2 discard 1 just to have enough fuel. And for Aurie, drawing that Eidetic Memory is really good. The 2-player game is quite different depending on who you pick as your two players. Having a player that has more card draw is always helpful. Definitely a balance. Thank you for stopping in to report on your game!
@@ThomasKCarpenter I see. So to compensate for only havin 2 players I need to focus more on cards which let me draw more cards, so my "fuel" never goes dry? Will definitely give it another go later! So far very much like the game(play), the world, the characters. Didn't know the Hundred Halls universe before, but very excited to dig deeper!
Thanks! You can find more information on the cards here: thomaskcarpenter.com/champions-of-the-hundred-halls/ as well as other videos on my website. The game has shipped from China and will be available in the US and other countries in late September.
I like the story very much. I don't care for the near raider. I would rather listen to different voices select an understand who's talking. It would also be better if you had more pictures of what is actually going on. So I could understand the story a whole lot better. Thank you
The way they speak about the Lady and the situation in their hometown make it sound like you should already have that information and know what’s going on, it makes you feel like you are missing a pretty big part of the story. Even if the title says book 1 the way they speak about the Lady have you double check it’s really book 1, maybe there’s a whole book series before this that explain the universe and the situation with the Lady and this is like a stand alone book series that’s still in the same universe (…) somehow are connected to something or someone in the other series. I might be wrong but that’s how it feel
@@katakimikusan in my universe all kinds of ways to enslave people happen. The most prominent is the "wage slave" technique. You force a person into debt. You give them power and then inspire them to waste it and then demand that they pay you back refusing the path of independence because the goal is a dependence feedback loop that goes to you. It seems like a refinement of the practice over time. There are no rebellions if you do it this way.
I no longer put books on Audible because they've been cheating authors out of their payments and finding ways to reduce royalty payments. I usually only make $1-2 per audiobook which makes it not worth going that round. But I understand from the listeners point of view that the service is convenient.
@ThomasKCarpenter that sucks well I'll look elsewhere maybe I can find it another way with a more fair dealer. Sadly I'm trying to go green ish using kindle or other stuff to read and audio books to
@@hakuoh4919 I should have mentioned the audiobooks are also on my website (thomaskcarpenter.com), KOBO, Google Play, and a few other places distributed through Findaway.
@@ThomasKCarpenter I'm good Tom, you popped up in my FB people I may know and I saw that you invented a game and had a YT channel... Very small world.Glad to see your doing well!
I feel like having adhd would be a big advantage when it comes to your intent, like I walk into a room completely forgetting what I'm supposed to do, or object permanence where I don't even know it exists until I see it again, just hope to God I don't hyper focus on it lol, maybe it's a double edged blade
Much improved video, but game play shown looks incredibly messy and cluttered. Twenty Decks!?!?!? Only expert level Masters and Grandmasters will even attempt that, no matter how much they love your books! Tough sell when you overwhelm rather than entice.
What's your favorite hall out of the 100 halls? I'm also curious what the smallest active hall is? P.s. I have enjoyed the hundred halls series!! Thank you for writing and posting!! I like the Animalians hall the most thus far!!
That's a tough question! Maybe Arcanium is my favorite because it's the first one I wrote about. There are a number of "tiny" Halls. The smallest one I've written about is Umbra Velum which only has ~5 members. It's a short story in the Volume 2 of the Hundred Halls shorts.
Thank you so much for posting another of your amazing audiobooks on youtube and bringing us to your amazing magical universe best wishes to you and your family
