So you have great a big fall at first as well as you fell into a WOODEN jump, and then your made or go back on? You fall into another object that is a sign of TIME OUT you could see in your trot after that you seemed stiff and not smooth, l hope you are okay but l do suggest maybe doing a 10-15 minute time out, trotting and walking with someone beside you and then go again. That first fall looked liked it hurt alot and was terrifying to watch and do, l understand if your at a high level but even the pros and experienced riders know when to stop you definitely should have had a break and then go again l pray your okay now and you have no long lasting injuries
He became lame yes but wasn’t at the first few rounds he had pulled a shoe a week ago and still was a little sore but nothing major but after this we did pull him because of his other leg which happened to become lame
Hi I’ve just found your channel, I’ve only watched a couple of your videos. How long have you been riding? I know you’ve made your decision to ride Q, but I personally think that Bourbon would have been a better match for you. On Q you kinda looked a bit out of control, although you rode very nicely. Whereas on Bourbon it looked like you clicked. I hope you have a great time on Q, and I hope Artax gets better very soon x
He’s a very hard horse to ride and just because you think she looked better on bourbon does not mean that they clicked her and Q have a very good bond and way bigger then bourbon and that’s ok because she’s not going to click with every horse she looks good on. Q is very strong and only one other rider is aloud to ride her and that was only her 3rd time on him! I know you were being nice about it but if you don’t know the story or how long she’s been riding on him then please don’t come on here and say that she would of chose a different horse😊
One time I fell off 3 times in 1 lesson and every time I got right back on and started jumping again! It’s scary falling I fall all the time! And I have also lost confidence a LOT! But this is something we enjoy don’t give up!!!❤❤
Aww I'm so sorry that completely sucks. I really hope that Artax gets better soon!!! Also what does the blue ribbon in his tail mean? Ik there are other colors but I'm not familiar with what blue means.
you’re so much braver than me because a few years ago when i fell over going over a jump, i swore up and down i’d never jump again. so therefore i made sure all my trainers at the time knew i wasn’t gonna jump. 😭 but now i’ve gotten a new trainer who knows what she’s doing, and she got me right back into it! but i’m ngl the fear is still there 😂
Glad you’re back! I personally love your videos the way they are and they’re great! But also I remeber when you used to post Tequila and I’m glad you’ve found her again! That’s incredible you can see her and I’m sure you’ll enjoy that ❤ you could do some training things with Artax and maybe mini vlogs?
He’s a lot like Casper (a horse at my barn) in looks, seat cues, and the getting fast! Except Casper is like 14.2hh lol And oop I wasn’t expecting that fall!
Ive just came across this video and wanted to say i think you done extremely well for getting back on 👍. From the angle of the camera it looks a very tight approach into that double, not really a nice jump to approach to begin with, infact the whole school looks very intimidating with so many jumps in it lol. Its horrible losing confidence but do try and give yourself a mind set of, falling off will only make you a stronger rider. 9 times out of 10 when it comes to jumping it is rider error, so looking back you can see what went wrong and work on that, give yourself something positive to focus on rather than the negative thing that happened, the fall. I have fallen into a jump before, it hurt, but i made sure i haven't done it again lol. Confidence comes with time, everyone is different, don't push yourself if your not ready or do push yourself if you feel thats what you need. Good luck and happy riding 😀
