Life has been difficult for the entire history of civilization. Parents being involved in their childs education is more important than the the government making more laws. I see beautiful new schools with pools and amazing gyms that never get used except for gym class and the pools are almost never used because of safety regulations. Why not save that money on building fancy schools and just pay teachers more. I went to school with fancy labs in science class we never used. I did terrible in school but had fun when I was a kid. I did an apprenticeship for my job and I make more money and have a better work life balence than my operations counter parts that have degrees. Public schools are just baby sitters so parents can go work. School sucked. Apathetic teachers, violent students that create a hostile environment. Why do you think parents are home schooling their kids or sending them to charter schools? Then you have teachers and their unions crying about it and attempting to block parents decisions on their childs educations. Govenment only creates new problems or exacerbate the issue they are trying to fix.

Reconcile for me the threat to democracy mantra, while about 80% ,at least,does not agree with what is happening on the border? If 80% does not want it to happen ,how is democracy working? I will wait for the response,that I am sure ,is not coming.
Total socialist nonsense. This politician has never built or run any business but thinks she knows when mergers are necessary versus not? The success of the corporation is due to the investors and founders taking a huge risk, and the strategy and execution of management. The workers just perform jobs and 99% can be replaced without any real impact on the corporation. Saying the workers are the key is ridiculous. And I say this as someone who grew up poor, worked in many low-paying jobs, and gradually worked my way to running companies where I realized the truth.
