Diving Eagle TV primarily focuses on the WW2 Luftwaffe Gravity Knife (so called Flieger-Kappmesser). However, videos on additonal (East) German paratrooper knives will follow as well as rare footage on East German paratrooper training.

Dude... make more videos! Maybe explain the official use of the nva fj Kampfweste with tricks and ways you made it work better for the FJ that weren't official? Maybe some stories about NVA FJ survival training?

Very nicely explained. I have one of these which my late father-in-law "found" during the action on Monte Cassino (he was 2 Korpus Polski) but the blade has been snapped. He was found in possession of it in the late 1940s in London. Explained how he got it and was allowed to keep it so long as the blade was removed or snapped. I can see now why he chose to break the blade. The bloodstained fingerprints on the blade are allegedly those of the original owner. Would have it restored but they're illegal in the UK so . . .

There is one of those in the collection that my father left me. I know this knife since i was a chiild and the story behind. it was the knife of one pilot of the Legion Condor that had an accident in Asturias Spain around 1937/38 during the Spanish Civil war .Next time I go Spain ill check it out.

That model, or a model similar used to be quite common and plentiful in army surpluses where I grew up. I didn't like them because they were rattle-y. I wish I'd picked up a half dozen of them. Oh well.

Thanks again for the great video! Question on springs durability, I have seen quite a few knives with broken or repaired springs, how fragile are those, in all the years of your collecting experience have you ever broke one just by opening and closing it ? Sometimes I want to play with one I have, but kind of worrying if I’ll brake that spring.
@divingeagletv
@divingeagletv 4 месяца назад
I may have broken one half way but heard of a few collectors who broke one. Just be careful and patient when Releasing a blade. I never push a lever all the way down as it is not necessary at all.

@divingeagletv
@divingeagletv 5 месяцев назад
@Fogel505
@Fogel505 5 месяцев назад
Danke

It appears I have one on the Type II bi - ca. 1944. My father brought it back after the war. He was in the 94th Infantry. He said they found these knives at a bombed out factory and there were cases of them. I think it could of possibly been near Belgium.

Definitely nice thing to my collection:D, i dont know if you are answering to comments but can i get your email adress please and make 100% sure it is what i think it is? Thanks👍🏻😉
