Brilliant! My wife stopped me on my way to purchase a new unit to show me this video. It worked, but would also say that the "aiming fluid" helped as well.

You put it together the hard way. Once you figure out how to put the two sides together, put them together with only the yellow button part in place. The sides kind of hinge together in the front. Hold the knife like you’d use it, horizontal with the thumb slider groove up. Now spread the sides apart a bit and insert the front rubber bit then the blade carrier then the big rubber top piece. Close the hinge, make sure the carrier can slide from notch to notch. Now open the hinge just a tiny bit and twist the front pins of the lower handle/blade storage piece in. Leave it hanging down; all that matters is getting its front pins into their holes. Close the hinge and then tighten the 1 or 2 screws that hold the frame sides together. Now close the blade holder. Done.
You guys are lifesavers. I did exactly what you described. I tried to change the blade without knowing the process and ended up with a COMPLETELY disassembled utility knife. Your video allowed me to reassemble just as you showed me. I even did it without the shots! THANK YOU!
Ooops. You left out putting the other phillips screw in near the front of the blade storage chamber. If you followed the directions and ended up with a spare screw, that's where it goes. Must have been the alcohol... 🤣
Thanks for getting hammered and saving me the cost of a new utility knife. I can't even blame alcohol for why I took mine apart, I just figured, it's a utility knife, how hard can it be to put it back together? WRONG! 🤣🤣🤣
Absolute pain in the ass how they force you to take it apart to get the damn cardboard out. When I got the whole thing back together somehow with all the little bits the lever to move the blade has a ton of resistance. Will try again one more time next shift with a clear mind. After that, returning this useless garbage and buying from another company.

Same as everyone else it seems - was about to throw this out as a result of the trapped packaging and didn’t want to risk disassembly and reassembly! Thanks for saving me having to buy a new one!
The old ones you did need to take out a screw...so that's what I did. "What the heck is that stupid yellow button for?" I thought. So it all fell apart. This had happened before but I pushed on and got it together eventually. There are a lot of youtubes about changing the blade but thanks to you guys there are instructions for us dufusses. I just followed along and it came together nicely. I'll drink to that.!
A refreshing version of how-to_do-it. My knife was just completely stuck, couldn't move trigger at all. One change I made because when I'd correctly followed your example I couldn't load up a blade. So I disassembled and placed a blade in the tray. That ensured I got a blade in, one I could mov e in and out. Hooray, you nailed it 8-)
Thank you. I was literally seconds away from throwing this ridiculously complicated tool into the trash. I wonder who the genius is who decided to turn what should be a simple tool into a frustrating piece of crap. I never thought I would need an instructional video to reassemble a box cutter. Kudos to you for making this video.
Thank you for posting this video! I did exactly what you showed in the video. Took the whole thing apart to change the blade and all these parts fell out and then I'm thinking what am I gonna do now. Using your video I was able to put it back together with no problem and now I know how to do it in the future. Thanks again!
