Nazi Germany committed mass murder on an unprecedented scale. The Nazis and their allies and collaborators killed six million Jewish people. This systematic, state-sponsored genocide is now known as the Holocaust. The Nazis and their allies and collaborators also committed other mass atrocities. They persecuted and killed millions of non-Jewish people during World War II. According to historical documentation, between five and 10 million people died as a result of the colonial exploitation under the rule and administration of King Leopold II and his functionaries.
I was never taught about Leopold II, I never heard of him till just recently but hitler was constantly shoved down our throat since middle school and high school……
GG’S Thank you Freeman! Your dbq tips honestly saved me so much time and stress from that test! Came back with a glorious 4 from college board, Honestly i would have been done if it wasn’t for that. Thanks for not only helping me, but thousands of students across the world with APWH! Have a restful summer (i hope :))
IT WAS 15 MILLION PEOPLE. AND OVER 100 MILLION HEBREW SPEAKING ISRAELITE NON AFRICANS LOST THEIR LIVES JUST CROSSING OVER THE TRANSATLANTIC THAT DIDN'T MAKE IT TO HAVE THERE TRIBAL NAME AND IDENTITY REPLACED... But we see what u doing... See Emmanuel Boeing's map negroland Kingdom of Juda
Where's your sources? I checked your description. You have no sources. Also, I don't care what people are doing as long as they aren't banning MORE drugs
Sun Yat San is for democracy....but China is still a communist country, try decipher CCP initials...Taiwan, however is for democracy, spearheaded by Sun Yat San n Chiang Kai Sek
The whole point is that people only care about and represent hitler as the most evil absolute bar of evil because he killed WHITE people, and killed Jews.. that’s why all the movies are about him all the books are about him why a huge time of the historical courses are about him, and leopold is a footnote because killing 20 millions black peoples doesn’t matter.. black lives don’t matter, that’s the whole point that we just don’t care about it.. doesn’t matter that it happened, so we won’t give it any time in class.. You can turn around and say things like well Learning about World War Two hard more context that is relevant to European history blah blah.. shut up.. you guys even had the funds to fight your wars over with, because of the million and million a o black peoples you just don’t care about that were raped and murdered.. So your video was pedantic and pointless, when people are complaining that leopold isn’t taught, it’s not about not being mentioned, it’s that it’s not touted out a the most significant human atrocity ever that is worthy of more time to be learned and remembered than hitler.. who only killed around 3-6 million Jews.. big woop, leopold killed 20 million innocent black oeople..
So you're saying my extensive notes on Charlemagne, Benjamin Disraeli, Cicero, Genghis Khan, Eurypides, William Wallace, Robert LaSalle, Uncle Phil, Baxter Stockman, Kurt Wagner, Shawn Michaels, Minnie Driver, the character Mr Big, the band Mr Big and Levi Ackerman are all worthless? Why didn't Mr Feeny tell us any of this in class? All he did was act as a mentor and guide to the children of broken families, and still, it was only like two or three kids.
Nelson Mandela "Non violence". Sure you can say at the end, Mandela asked for peaceful change. But he was the leader of a Political Party that DID violence.
AP World History is terribly done if these are the only people who need to be learned. About half are not important enough for such a short list. 1) Zheng He is just a quirky anecdote. He accomplished nothing. 4) Adam Smith was a great philosopher but did not directly inspire political movements the way Marx did. 8&9) There's no need for one third of the figures to be non-violent activists. MLK is great, but he's for AP US History, not AP World History. And no Mandela because the fall of Apartheid is nowhere near as important as the end of the British Empire and colonialism. A better list would be like this: 1) Napoleon 2) Columbus 3) Bolivar 4) Bismark 5) Marx 6) Hitler 7) Gandhi 8) Stalin 9) Martin Luther Of course, there's plenty of others I could have picked. My choices also had European and Modern bias. I welcome other suggestions in response.
