I really hate the GS logo but damn this case design is so modern classic and it loves light play. Even that quartz tick is smooth. It smashes any other quartz
GS, like any mechanical watches, won’t consistently hit the makers on either side of the dial but they DO generally hit perfectly between 10 ~ 2 . . . I myself own the Tough Quartz SBGX341 and I almost went mad in Tokyo finding the piece with PERFECT alignment . . . In the end there was always a small degree of compromise so I just set out to find the one where 10 ~ 2 hit closely with 12 hitting _perfectly . . ._ I plan on picking up a 265 for my daily beater . . . Considering having a GS-affiliated jeweler remove the second hand to afford the piece a less hurried mien but . . . Not sure I could bring myself to do so 😅
I've had a santos steel automatic buy 2600$ in year 2000,for economic problem i sell it for only 1600 3years after and now i would like to buy it again and what the hell...she cost 4400$ minimum...so i dont think she is so underated...and it's thrue the clasp is very fragil,my santos opened alone all the time...
extremely helpful video. have a eta 2402 with that problem. unfortunately 2 watchmakers and one parts suppler later cant seem to get the proper parts to fix it. any suggestion's would be appreciated.
To my opinion the watch is poor design, if they put the letter GS on the top and the Grand Seiko letter on the bottom at number 6 would be nice it’s just look empty
Energy consumption to make a smooth sweeping second hand. Wall clocks don’t have to worry about energy, their batteries are huge compared to wristwatches.
