Watch 30 seconds of an intro and an ending to a video that features less than 30 seconds of Paul actually doing anything:) Still a good clip anyways, thanks for sharing.
Although it sounds like he did, Clapton did not play on Abbey Road. I believe George was influenced by Robbie Robertson between Let It Be (Get Back) and Abbey Road.
And there was me thinking that both brothers sung exactly the same, bit when combined, the sound was harmonious. Phil's is so totally different to what I had expected, and could easily be mistaken as being absolutely nothing to do with the song as we know it. I just wonder how they came up with the contrast in vocal arrangement, to make it pure harmony. Magnificent! Thankyou for uploading, and more importantly, taking the time to prepare the video
They were so incredible. They went through so much. I love them & their beautiful music. I am sure they continue to make beautiful music in heaven. Rest in peace Don & Phil.❤❤
I remember watching this live on the Ed Sullivan show, remember seeing all the black cables and them performing it live, there was no echo, but this is the first time it that I've heard it, everyone thought I was crazy because I said they did it live, and it was great and this is really the sound of the DC5. Thanks for posting.
With Ron Ryan's songs they gave The Beatles a run for their money for a year or two. After he stopped writing for them they fell by the wayside. The Beatles moved forward with Rubber Soul and DC5 became a cover band.
Thank you. I’ve always wanted to hear Phil’s part because I wasn’t sure if it was just Dons part, only higher. This confirms that all these years the part I was “singing” was Dons part.
@sbbut47 - Yes, I wondered the same thing. The harmony was always so smooth and undivided that I thought maybe Phil was singing Don's tune in a higher key. But no, he sang other notes in the same chord. Their mother Margaret said that their father Ike taught Phil to harmonize by listening to the guitar chords. Brilliant man!
