I have seen these guys twice. They are wonderful. Beautiful music. Wholesome. The second time was my birthday, just before the pandemic. And they sang to me in the lobby during their break. Any of us that wanted to stay in contact, they kept up by texting to give us updates during the pandemic. Great bunch of guys. I hope they are still doing well! Brightest Blessings! ☺️✌️♥️🦋🙏
@wiskey2000 i drove 3.5 hours there & 3.5 hours back for my first time seeing them. I was hoping to get a video, but i was singing & dancing in the middle for their whole set. I only took 1 pic & it turned out blurry lol. Thanks for posting the video
Long shot here, but why were the lyrics changed. Most pieces when modified for film are about the same but this song is so vastly different from the original
You'd have to ask Pete St. John about that detail since he wrote it for the Dublin City Ramblers several decades ago. The High Kings are just covering it.
OMG I hope they are better in person. After 1st 3 1/2 minutes this guy and his " story" reached the pain threshold for me. He left me caring less whether "story" was true or not, had to leave or cut my own throat. Can't remember seeing a performer on stage with worse Stage Presence, Timing or Delivery. For his sake I hope he was at least drunk that might explain some of the lack of professionalism. He can't tell a story, it was Not funny, Not entertaining , Not even interesting. Perhaps if you are utterly shitfaced drunk it would make a difference other wise, click on through this clip. You'll never get these 6 1/2 minutes back. The guy with his arms folded next to him on stage says it all.
