i have a song on my project where i blew across the strings with a very wet reverb and distortion pedal on, found by accident sounds are the best sounds
Did she own her mistake? she said she "outsourced and let someone else organize the tracks on the SD card etc" that is throwing an anonymous person under the bus. Own up would be, I didn't sound check and prepare properly. Also for an event that big not to sound check or have a back up is just plain foolishness and lack of experience. Not hating, she may be a great DJ i just can't find any footage of her DJing to know either way. But should promoters book inexperienced DJs in the first place? She could afford to travel everywhere with a tech that's what I would do, just for peace of mind.
did she really own her mistake though? because she kept saying it's not her fault on stage, and then blamed the person she hired in her tweet. she took some responsibility, but did so in a fashion that made everything worse
First of all its not live. Second, if you call it live because she intentionally planed to mix like a proper Dj and not use a prerecorded file. It would still not have been live because she clearly was relying on sync. And frankly it’s a shame the organizers/ promoters book people like her as a DJ when she clearly and obviously don’t know how to Dj. Any real Dj would have been able to sort that out. By just using the headphones and do proper mixing with the ears. But I agree it’s a shame no technician was there to help at such a big event. But please don’t book these artists as Djs when they clearly are not. Book them as a performance to play their on tracks.
@24kgoldplatedvermeil she's not a dj though. she was relying on cue points that someone else set, wasn't using headphones, and couldn't work with bpm's that were simply double or half of what she prefers. she proved that she can't beatmach by ear, and doesn't really know how to use cdj's in general. if you can only use sync, at least prep your own tracks in rekordbox. that's bare minimum. I lost a lot of respect for her after this
I have a question. I have live recording done with 2 microphones Rode M5. How do I put this one recording of left and right microphone into one track please? How do I make them to play through each other?
You are truly inspiring. I found you with Anthony Parnther and Metro Boomin. Mr. Parnther was my high school marching bands director, one of them anyways... You 3 were like real magic. I would love to see more collabs with you and Anthony.... Sweet celestial sounds to my ears and life. ❤❤❤❤
Caught you in Pensado's place.. Coinkidink.. Love Meow wolf and had been trying to get in touch with one of the Santa Fe contributors "Brian Mayhall" for a piece he did in the "Cult of the Primary" display.. Great set up, many blessings.
WHY IS THIS SO RELATABLE 🤣 Thanks Laura, I was just reading your feature in the Push Turn Move book! So awesome to learn about your pioneering history with Ableton.
He's just about my favorite. Love his stuff. I have wondered about how he's collected all that stuff and then shipping all of that too, quite an undertaking all around.
@lauraescude I absolutely love the creative ability live looping allows in combination with session view. I currently have a novation launchpad but man am I eyeing the push 2. Love your stuff as always! And I tried sending you a link like you asked but my entire comment disappeared. Anyways, never stop creating!
