I like to post bowling, trains, and random crap coming mostly from North Western Minnesota. Right now I upload every other day (with occasional schedule hiccups). I will leave a heart on every comment and sometimes reply to your comments. Subscribe if your new! ;D
candlepins are a tough game and sometimes doesn't seem fair. i've bowled for over 50 years and still in a league at 74 years old. you made some good shots and some just didn't go. i've always thought it's as tough as golf to be good at. back inthe 80's i was a 105 avg. shooter but now lucky to crack 90. good bowling to ya.
I've never seen it happen, but I know it has. Imagine throwing the strike ball, and only taking out the head pin. It happens. My worst was the 1, 2 alone, and the spread eagle with the 5 pin (only taking the head pin, 8, and 9).
Yeah, 2nd shot, last frame, S-K-R-U-D, for sure. I wonder if you get odd looks playing this weird-looking game with the locals? From what I can tell, pinplate setup for the obvious tenpin, the action is mildly difficult.
I've gotten a few locals to try it and they like it more than regular bowling, surprise surprise? The walls are decently bouncy but the deep gutters don't help with the pin action
@@drummachine434 That's why true candlepin alleys have shallow gutters at the pin plate (Including Grant Street). Flat gutters are terrible for pins rolling around after a shot, and hard to tell if a gutter ball is indeed one (or barely a fair one).
This is resent. Next time bring a 6 pack and we can bowl a frame or 2! Get a scanner, NPR operates on 160.86 and 161.43 Some switching video and audio would be cool.
This is my first time using my scanner on NPR and it was a success! I'll try capturing switching next time. Also sadly I'm only 20 but I can a six pack of root beers for the bowling session 👌
Pretty good night for the spares. You just couldn't get near that head pin on the right hand lane, most likely due to the torn ACL from that ball return.
This starts on the Gilby Sub, 10 MPH on that class 1 track. The transition at Forest River is 5 MPH. Dumping the air on one of the longest shuttle trains in America to pick up 3 bean box cars is a short line thing.
