Thanks for Checking in, see ya soon.
I got quest pro. I'd say no much hate here. I also Had PSVR 2 - but I sold it. Fisrt off - the hate is reasonable. 1. Poor support , 2. No replacement. 3.Sony is bad at supporting 200 countries (non-existing support) 4. bad costumer support. These are minor things. Let's talk about PSVR 2 ittself - it's a beast VR headset, but god no thanks! 1. Poor tracking (even quest 2 does better) 2. Fantastic graphic fidelity ( i love it ) 3. Yes it's too comfy. 4. supperior controllers. I dont like PSVR 2 only for that it doesn't have pavlov VR MOD support and no browser and etc. PSVR 2 feels like a lock down jail. If PSVR 2 will come out on PC - an instant purchase
I completely agree with this video. If I could afford all of VR, I would get all of VR in order for me to understand them all and enjoy what each headset has to offer. I own the original PSVR as well as PSVR 2 and I really enjoy both. I have never owned PCVR headsets or quest headsets so I would never say that I don’t like those because I haven’t even experienced them. If somebody doesn’t like a headset, for whatever reason, that’s completely fine and they can get rid of it and get something else that works for them. It just bugs me when someone says something is trash and not explain themselves.
It looks like they're working on the physics, but I agree that will make or break the game for sure. I'm expecting a lot from this game. Especially with this delay.
@JonnyGamingNetwork sure np. I have to wait until the end of this month before I can take my hands on the meta 3. My kid has the meta 2 right now. That's also a good system
If anyone plays Legendary Tales on PSVR2, you'll agree it is by far one of the best VR games available. Its a 40+ hour walking RPG, you craft stuff, kill goblins and skeletons etc its like an unmatched updated version of Blades and Sorcery. PSVR2 is the best affordable gaming headset out there Madison VR just came out, looks terrifying.
Only downside to PSVR2 is you can't use it as a standalone monitor if you don't have a TV as if you turn your PS5 on and turn on the headset, and a tv isn't connected, it says follow the instructions on the tv, if you then connect it to a tv you can instantly use it and there are no instructions on the tv. PSVR1 allowed you to turn it on, it turned in the ps4 and you didn't need a tv connected, and that didn't even have passthrough. Its the only thing i dont like about psvr2.
What a refreshingly fair assessment, especially in regard to the Quest catalog and the lack of really compelling AAA titles. That said, I think that's starting to change (which is about right since it takes 3-5 years to bring those titles to a new gaming medium (like standalone VR in this case). So really right now is about the right time to start seeing more and more titles become ready for release. I consider Asgard's Wrath 2 and Assassin's Creed to be AAA and I suspect we will see more by the end of the year and a steady flow from here on out. I also agree that PCVR is at an amazing point right now, particularly with the releaase of praydog's UEVR injector, with lots of great titles but still hindered by needing a powerful machine to run them. If anyone can figure out really solid streaming (a la Geforce Now) for PCVR, it could be a game changer. That said, PSVR2 is amazing tech with a really compelling ease of use and some dazzling titles. It bothers me that so many people want to pick a side and pit the headsets against each other. More VR is better for everyone. I do think Sony is missing a tremendous opportunity in focusing solely on new, VR-only titles. They have an enormous back catalog of titles across many platforms that would be amazing to play on a giant screen in a headset, especially if they created a framework to allow them to be played in 3D. After playing Nintendo 3DS titles via CitraVR on the Quest 3, I was immediately sold on the potential for reviving old titles via VR mods. My first thought was how cool it would be to play the PS2 and PSP God of War games in 3D in a headset.
Great take. Thank you. You are correct it does appear that Quest 3 is about to come into its own. Honestly, a lot has changed since I made this video. I am so excited about all the Flat2VR news, and it really looks like things will be ramping up all around. Thanks for watching!
I have been playing vr2 for around 1 month now and alrrady had to start game collecting, they are awesome i finished very bad dreams, paradise hotel and the 7th guest. Now into beat saber and the walking dead. Resident evil to come and many more 👍
@@JonnyGamingNetwork I have both RE 4 and village will be Re 4 1st, but I got close to 60 games now vr2 most I haven't played yet just got Madison vr I will play 1st tomoz I think. 👍
@@matthewhall6888 Nice!! You found all the games they don't have, lol. MADiSON is good, so far. I'm having a hard time formulating my opinion as I feel the scare factor has been overhyped...
You said it. They are two different beasts. I started out on PCVR and got fed up with the constant tinkering with settings and spending on upgrades. I got the Quest 2 to use as a PCVR headset then got hooked on the effortlessness of standalone. It’s just like putting on a hat, then you start playing. I feel that the Quest gaming vs PCVR reduce friction by 70%. Of course the graphics are a bit N64, but I can play anytime, anywhere. I have taken it to parties, on holiday and yes, I am the VR prick on the train! By the time PSVR2 came out, I was very interested, but had already invested too much into my Quest library and headset mods. So I passed. PSVR2 is awesome. Especially the controllers, haptics and big titles. It is the closest thing to PCVR without the hassle and the costs. The only downsides I can see is that they didn’t make it reverse compatible with PSVR1 games and the non existent returns policy. These problems don’t exist with Quest or Steam. As for the haters? They are either trying to justify their purchase, justify their choices, want to be in a gang, jumping on RU-vidr bandwagons or they are just pricks. Human beings are designed to be territorial and hunt. Translate that to modern times, when we don’t have to hunt anymore, you either evolve, or become a prick. I am currently running a Quest 3 with Quest Games Optimizer, Aubika VR battery strap, AMVR face gasket and Maecker knuckle grips. The Quest games optimizer is the best $10 I have spent on my setup!
Vr looks abit erm 💩 i keep getting tempted but i just feel like its going to be a waste of money the games the graphics just dont seem good enough. And everything looks cheesy. Can someone tell me different tell me what im missing. It seems like hype hype hype and you look past the hype and everything looks cheese
I absolutely understand that sentiment. It is for me more about the feel. The graphics in some games are quite pleasant, but even the ones with lesser graphics can be very immersive and fun if the feel is there. I would say VR is still quite young and still developing as far as a platform, but there is a lot of fun to be had if you are willing to look past some of the downfalls. That being said, it really is improving at a surprising pace.
Let me tell you. I have the psvr2 and it was the best. You will not regret. When you get it, get horizon, grand turismo and resident evil village. I wish they release grand theft 6 on it. But try it. I bet you may not want to use tv anymore
I have no hate on any VR headset Technology. I have only been a PC user and gamer for many many years, so all my games and apps are PC based games - even before VR even got started. I never did consoles such as Play Stations or Xbox systems. Both are very good, but I have too much invested in PC computers and had no need for a console system. I now have the Quest 3 and works well on my PC gaming computer. And again I have so much invested in games for the PC and know the PC very well. I grew up with PC computers from day one when they became affordable. That is all I can say. If I had a Sony Play Station 5, I would be saying the PSVR headset would work for me. So it is what your interests are for computers. Take care.
I have both and love both. I DO actually like the PSVR2 more because it's really streamlined and EASY to set up. it's lighter and more comfortable. the cable is annoying but the games run SO MUCH SMOOTHER on it. if it had pancake lenses it would be nearly perfect
Fuck RE that shit's stupid as fuck and yet everyone's fucking obsessed with that bs like hell it's scary...Propagation Paradise Hotel Help Wanted Overdark and Apollo 13 are the ones that are scary as Hell...
Facebook is getting out of the hardware business eventually. Lenovo, Asus and Microsoft were all already in the VR business and killed their VR R&D. This is very likely going to be Facebook’s way out and also save face and let other companies kill the standalone VR market. Xbox games are coming to PlayStation and the console sales are in the ditch, so I can’t see MS doing anything more than GamePass on the headset unless it sells extraordinarily well (15M+).
Good take. I'm sure they are losing money on the hardware like most consoles. It definitely seems like they are looking to control the Software. It will be interesting to see if anyone steps up as far as competition or if Meta will just run it all behind the scenes.
I got the M3 I understand the S3 may be better, but I didn't see it at the time I got mine. That being said I love it, I have two batteries for it, but alas no cooling fan. That fan is a good idea though.
I've owned both since launch. Quest 3 is awesome in every way once BoboVR fixes the comfort issue. The PSVR2 sweet spot is atrocious!!! Sony has abandoned it already. So disappointed ☹️☹️
low end headset for people on a tight budget........ you vote with your money not a video, there are plenty of good VR head sets that beats the pants of Quest and META, but you need bigger buget lol
why do i feel like the only reason they are doing this is to somehow own them. like they have done with all these companies they had their games on their platform and then takes over the company consumes all the devs and then fking deletes the game they had, like they have done it to over 90 companies disgusting
I wholeheartedly think that's at least part of the case it may be bigger than that. It's definitely a move for full VR control. I don't necessarily think it's all positive and I totally agree many disgusting things will happen as a result. Hopefully there will be some good competition.
I enjoyed fallout 4 vr. Got lost in building settlements. If I had more time I would go back to it but it’s so much easier to just pull out the Steamdeck and play normal FO4 on the go
That is a fair point. There are some games that I just prefer to play flat. I like NMS a lot because I can go back and forth between flat and VR on the same save. Building bases in the Wastelands is pretty cool in VR though. I've been pleasantly surprised.
No, they confirmed a week or so ago that it had been submitted, but just today I noticed Sony posted yesterday on X saying coming this fall... I am beyond ready to play this game.
Thanks!! I do know. I meant to mention the, but I haven't tried any yet. I'm really not all that bothered by it, but I will probably check out the mods. Any recommendations?
@@JonnyGamingNetwork My advice would be to check out a mod pack for Fallout 4 VR on Nexus Mods, and see what features they offer and which mods they use to implement those features. From a quick search, it looks like the Definitive Fallout 4 VR Overhaul is a good choice. Hope this helps!
I mean I've seen 3060s going for as little as 999, but I mean technically some of the 2000s can run some games. So you have to look at the specs for your headset and game you want to play. I would say absolute cheapest pc that can still run VR 750-1000, but you'd be better off spending 1200 or 1500 and get something a bit better if you have it and even if you don't time catches up... That being said I've experimented with my old 1080 ti and I could run a surprising amount with that and my Quest 3, but I wouldn't recommend that at all.
basically anything with a 1080 gpu, 16gb ram, ssd at min no hdd. maybe $1200. use pcpartpicker and lookout for sales on individual compenents. building is super easy now. only screwupable part is seating the cpu. i can even run borderlands 3 in vr while also livestreaming with a cam on just a 1080. the one atea people dont budget thats important is your wifi setup. minimum 5g but you probably want wifi 6. pc has to be wired directly to pc. router has to have channels seperated (no mesh). if you have a lot of wireless devices may want to dedicate a router speciphically for the quest
I'm loving the resurgence fallout franchise is having. I'm going to be picking fallout 76 and new vegas back up soon. . . Have you checked out the show? I've heard good things.
Yeah, I've been enjoying it as well, I've also thought about looking at 76 again. I did watch the series, which is why I decided to play a 7 year old game lol. I was really surprised as I expected to hate the series.
It really is nice to see it come back to life like it has! I've been sucked right back in as well. Binge watched the show over 2 days and immediately reinstalled all the major games.
I mean, I guess they've submitted it, but yeah, I am pretty much over it. I'll be interested to check it out, but the anticipation is fucked, I can't get excited.
For the same price, and not needing a PS5... The average person will get a better value out of the Quest 3. Way more games, and it is getting so easy to play PC VR games on the Quest 3 FULLY WIRELESS. PSVR2 being wired definitely kills it for me.
I have to say. I am playing a lot of PCVR on my Quest 3 and I really enjoy being able to spin around and not have to worry about cords. I haven't made a video in a while because I'm honestly trying to figure out my current stance. Obviously the Quest products will and should go to a larger market as they are amazing devices and your average Joe doesn't have every system. The PSVR2 is definitely more niche. That being said I think I will continue to play bigger releases on the PSVR2 and just daily drive the Q3. I will admit I spend a lot of time with a headset on and getting the Q3 has only increased and added more depth to my overall experience.
Great video… Let’s not forget on how we can still play all the 2D (None VR) PS4 & PS5 games in cinema mode, all the way up to an IMAX experience by using the PSVR2 as your main display while enjoying all the benefits of OLED and up to 120 hz by disabling the 120 on the console and enabling it on the headset 😎. It’s insanity to me, on how many individuals own the PSVR2 and don’t realize all the features that is giving us as a massive plus 🤦♂️.
The thing with all the mainstream gaming "journalists" is that they received this email from meta about how PSVR2 had and would not have any games and Meta is still running that campaign in media. They also pressure devs to not create improved versions that where on Meta and now ported to PSVR2. The devs from. Among us outright said this on PSVR. Without Parole's discord and live stream chat.
@@JonnyGamingNetwork it shows how powerful media is when misused/bought. They say you cannot kill a idea and that is exactly what Meta has done, inject this idea everywhere. From a business standpoint very clever I suppose but rarely so for the consumers especially when it comes to the VR market.
@glennsam-sin1738 I couldn't agree more, and now, with Meta vying for full VR software dominance, I'm afraid the consumers will be the main ones who lose out. I would live to see some good back and forth competition, but it's a small market...
I'm definitely not complaining about the catalog in fact I have plenty to play. I do understand where people are coming from who are looking for a lot of different experiences and the Quest library is huge in comparison as I stated though they are mostly low end indie games which is fine, but if I had to choose I'd go PSVR2. I do really like the Quest though as well.
@@JonnyGamingNetwork that is exactly the difference. I still have a Rift S for my PC but I have not used it since the launch of PSVR2 and I have not missed those indie experience apps so far. I do look forward to PSVR PC support tho as it would allow me to play exclusives like HL Alex and the UE mod app of course
