A sorely needed, and therefore, laudable initiative. Media in Pakistan is a supposedly a watchdog on behalf of people to keep a check on power and the institutions that wield it. That role, however, is not every journalist upholds. On the contrary, it is blatantly disregarded and undermined, especially by some in the mainstream media as well individuals using alternative and social media platforms for self aggrandisement. This attempt by Struggle TV to call out such elements on their warped views extolling institutions and individuals holding enormous power and influence, often exercised in their own interest and to the detriment of people, democracy and the country, is just what we need at a time when there are no platforms to hold media and journalists accountable for misleading and misguided words and actions.
