Shahid was right. SRK tried to copy Amitabh Bachchan and hope to step in his shoes. Remade his films and even did KBC but never managed to upstage Big B. Big B was ultimately brought back in KBC and is still going strong. Amitabh is the only original DON of Bollywood

Amitabh was popular worldwide without PR, and he succeeded in era before globalisation and liberalisation. He started trend of world tours for Indian stars. He is first Indian star to have sold out show at Wembley. His Mard alone broke records at Egypt and is still highest grossing Indian film there. Amitabh has given way more blockbusters and hits than SRK and was never just a mere romantic actor relying on heroines or YRF to make his films work. Amitabh won BBC greatest Actor of the millennium poll. He was always known worldwide. He is still getting work and is famous wheres your SRK will be forgotten when he is 80
