I object to my tax dollars restoring a beach for millionaire home owners. If FL state taxes are footing the bill, fine because I don't live and will never live in FL.
at 6:12 he comments the pipe goes "about where" the boat is stopped. If the ship is pumping sand to the beach, I hope the pipe actually goes TO the ship, not to "about where" it is. Yeah, we all generalize like that...don't know why. Don't be afraid to commit to something if you know you're right. (I'm old...so learn something)
This really has nothing to do with the rich. Notice there is no personal property on the beach in this situation. This will keep the main road from washing out which is for city infrastructure. You can justify public paying because tourists keep our taxes cheaper. If we have no beach full of happy vacationers then taxes will increase which will cost us Floridians more in the long run. Florida has long had an issue with beach erosion. good thing, florida waters is only but so deep which makes for better control when dredging and creating sand dunes. but when all is said and done their no beating nature. consider old florida, past coastal lines now underwater. florida use to be several times larger in scale. but.. sea level rise. if anything their should be effort to raise homes,
Doing the last ice age the ocean was 450 feet lower. All locked up in ice. I wonder when the ice started melting and flooding land, were there cavemen running around telling people to put out campfires. And charging the campers 2 bushel of grain for being told that.
Very interesting. I lived in Flagler Beach back in the early 60's. We had a house right on A1A which is now a chiropractor 's office. It was fun living there. Went through hurricane Donna while there.
Your right! I need to do something different. I’ll take the whole thing off when the when we’re done with the cool mornings. Maybe I’ll look into a clear windscreen too. Maybe that’ll help.
I have not done Myrtle Beach. We use to visit Myrtle all of the time. There is lots of potential there. Great history and many attractions. Thanks for the comment.
