Yes! But transit traffic alone won’t able to make a route do well! A route needs to have mix of O&D, Tourist, VFR, Connecting pax to make it year round. Indigo is analysing this sector. Fingers crossed 🤞
Thanks for all your efforts brother. Finally the day has come where CJB will see another flight to UAE. However, this should just be the start. While COK, CCJ gets bounty of international connectivity without any worries, the same should happen to CJB as well. Enough is enough.
I wonder brother, if we need to struggle for just thrice a week flight to Abu Dhabi, then how will we get the BASA status? Is Coimbatore so weak that despite being the second most populated city in altogether TN and KL and also such an industrially developed one?
BASA is seats. POC - airport to be included in BASA. No airline will fly a new route daily from day 1.. Any new route it would be only weekly frequencies. Based on how CJB performs flights will increase. Kerala has strong VFR & labour traffic. CJB. Catchment area doesn’t have that much of labour traffic to Gulf
When I was young, I heard a crab story. Someone caught 10 Indian crabs and put them inside a container and caught another 10 'FILL ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY' crabs and put them inside a different container. The crabs themselves couldn't climb out as the wall was steep. The foreign crabs cooperated and formed a ladder by climbing on top of one another and every crab successfully escaped. However the Indian crabs pulled down any other crab that tried to climb up (and escape captivity) on individual efforts. So, every Indian crab ended up captives inside the container. Unfortunately, the case of Coimbatore airport development is proving to be a real life demonstration of this story and sadly our internal politics (stemming from insecurity and hence jealousy) is dragging down any of India's collective growth dreams.
Indigo to launch from AUH - 7x weekly to IXE, 4x weekly to TRZ, 3x weekly to CJB. there are lot of Lobby & things going behind for that one 3x weekly flight from CJBZ Bookings are opened for IXE, TRZ but not yet as of now for CJB I am one of those many who was a small part in bringing this flight to our Coimbatore! Will not leave this until it’s done! The news coming out is trustable. But Waiting for DGCA nod as it’s taking time as it’s a new route & Bookings will open within 3-4 days is what I have been said!
@@akviews047 Literally fed up with this political thing happening with CBE. I mean are people really jealous of the potential of CBE? Or perhaps afraid? Really saddens (already for a long time) that such an industry-laden city is struggling with poor international connections for decades! Shame on the Indian Government Hope this IndiGo flight leaves no stone unturned in commencing much more flights from CJB to DXB, DOH, SIN, KUL, BKK

You are one of the very few persons who really tells that present airport is much capable of handling international flights while the entire media has fooled the people of Coimbatore stating that an expansion is mandatory for the services to commence. (What's more funnier is that TRZ though having a new terminal still has a shorter runway than CJB yet still gets so many more flights. I believe that all this is due to the adjacent K state and hope all their nonsense stops asap)
COK & CCJ lobby don’t want traffic to split. Like if any airline starts from CJB to ME the flight will do well and in future few frequency from their airport might be reduced and might side those seats from CJB. As BASA has limited seats. This is the primary reason. They don’t want that. COK being PPP, they definitely don’t want that There are lot of lobbying going in background but we don’t have proof to expose or report them! It is all done in ground level. That’s Exactly what I don’t want from coimbatore Priority should be more domestic & INTL connectivity. Next is bringing up the Big terminal Next should be runway expansion . That is mandatory but that ain’t the main priority What if after expansion, with such huge terminal & large runway to accommodate wide body but having the same INTL flights or no wide body flights??
Full malayalees politics from cochin airport. Even the director of CJB is a malayali. Because of those culprits CJB will always stay in developing side only. They all know once CJB upgrades COK will die. Hence they wont allow it anytime soon. Sad thing for Coimbatoreans.
Being one of the elite hotels in coimbatore the staffs need be trained well to handle the guests. Also it feels like you are on your own to reach your room from your parking. If Mic and camera are available then everyone become expert in any subject, Coimbatore runway is not meeting the international airport criteria, also not sufficient for widebody aircraft.
1) Coimbatore airport meets International Airport criteria that’s it there are flights to Singapore & Sharjah. Currently coimbatore needs flights to middle east & south east countries for which current airport infrastructure and aircraft’s are capable. 2) Coimbatore’s runway dimensions can handle wide body aircraft (a Boeing 777 had landed at coimbatore in the past) - coimbatore runway dimensions are longer than Kozhikode. 3) For wide body aircraft The runway safety width is needs to be 150 m on both side (currently it’s 75 m on both side). That is one major thing coimbatore lacks apart from aero bridge and other things from terminal side This video is made as majority of people still believe, flights to Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and other nearby international destinations can be operated only after airport expansion is done. This is a small part from me to make people understand with current airport infrastructure flights can be operated to nearby international destinations. (Airport expansion is mandatory and should be fastened up but airport expansion should not be a reason for not getting international flights to nearby international destinations) Would love to her your thoughts!
Coimbatore airport has a runway length of 2990 metres and a width of 45 metres. Edinburgh airport, the busiest airport in Scotland has runway length of 2556 metres and a width of 46 metres. Edinburgh airport handles Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 flights!
Please bring coimbatore airport also a international with all state of the art facilities, make it as a world class one like Hyderabad, Bangalore and any other capital cities. Since it's a second largest growing city next to Chennai. I am very eagerly waiting to see a new airport in coimbatore with a new look.. Make the entire airport campus in a organized way. The approach for each and every place should be very accessible. Especially the way for going to the plane spotting area. Lay a new access road..
A very worst hotel with bad service....They are rude...if we book directly from them...they will u keep u waiting and will update the price to higher and if we question them....they will tell us that u were waiting for cheaper price that's why u contacted directly so u have to wait as if we are staying there for free....I have been stayed in many hotels but in this hotel only I had very bad service...i would suggest u to find better hotel with cheaper price then this
