Fast, on point, fresh. Nice video, i was seeking exactly that type of video. I especially like the models - beautiful, no giant bugs, unique and diverse. More trees to the tree army!
Love how Warhammer started to separate Undead factions how they do it with Demons. 1. Vampires 2. Zombies (Mummies) 3. Skeletons 4. Ghouls 5. Water Vampires 6. Ghosts 7. Banshees 8. Omega Skeleton's (aka Liches)
Hey, the google drive link is down, could you please reupload? Ive collected a bunch of the old warbands and wanted to use this but havent downloaded everything yet. Thanks!
I know it's been over a year since you posted but I want to let you know this video really help me select what warbands to collect for this game and my group. Thank you.
First video I've watched. Gonna hit all my warbands, but this was my favourite band and I was hoping I'd be able to do better with them. They're a difficult band to play.
Thank you so much for these balance updates! Already had games with Yltharies, Ironskull's, Drepurs, Grashraks and Celestus. They all were fun and the cards all felt really useful. I already finished translating 3 of them into German so I can play with my nephews and nieces. Thanks for your hard work!
Hi, I really like your take on balancing the old warbands and I appreciate the time you took to create this PDF, I am planning on creating those cards with all the modifications as you've suggested, the link to the PDF on the description is not working, would you mind posting a working link here or send me the file? Btw, I'll make sure to send you a digital copy of all cards that I create, you could even shoot a video showcasing them and making them available on your channel, so we can all enjoy the old warbands again, I look forward to hearing from you, cheers
Once these guys get set up, get your ranged attacks together, 3 total. Get drizzget with his squiggs who move with him. Then you only have zarbag to casty. And let the zealot do his own thing. You will generally be hitting on all but hammers and blanks so essentially a 3+, saving on essentially a 3+ because you will have fighters adjacent in melee to the attacker, with support spells from zarbag and then there is your wild card.
I really appreciate that you're doing videos, this is what I am looking for. However, there's too much to cram into 10 minutes. Yes it's very subjective, but Morgwaeth's blade coven in front of Kharga's Ravagers? Actually there are several "wut" moments, and I'd like to hear more now that all of Direchasm has been released. Also decklists, because those are very subjective too.
@@wtfhammer9160 Thanks again for the fast reply! Amazing job and obviously tons of work. You've more than earned a subscriber :) However, I *still* can't find anything related to the Special Game Modes you mention in the video. I have dug through every pdf in those folders haha... am I just totally blind? The "Play Out of the Box House Rules Summary" pdfs would seem the likely spot, but those contain the errata for each warband, no other rules that I can see.
@@stmerk370 Oh, nothing custom. The special game modes are those alternative rules that were released by Games Workshop. The hazard cards from Dreadfane, The Chaos Gargant cooperative game, the Fomoroid Crusher solo game, the Apex Predator mode, the Capture the Artifact format, the Grand Avatars. Most were released as official alternatives in the White Dwarf Magazine. My 'Play out of the deck' card sets work well with those game modes if you want variety (doesn't work for Arena Mortis though). Usually I play standard rules with hazard cards.. sometimes I throw in Grand Avatar as well.
Makes me sad to see so many tier listings put Starblood Stalkers so low, I find their only drawback being 4 x 2 wound fighters, which can easily be countered with anti-primacy cards (everything to prove, underdog, martyred if you're playing relic). Inbuilt quarry keyword opens up some whacky good deckbuilding opportunities, I've got access to cards that no other warband can really optimize on (preybond is a joke with outrun death, cryptic companion and otapatl) and the absolute monster that is Klaq Trok. So many silly hunter/quarry teleport cards which allow you to inspire and H3 within 2 activations if you do it right as everyone feels they need to deal with the Troq first. Also have reliable access to late game Making a Statement, if you only have two objectives in your territory and Kixi holds one, delete 2nd objective with Kixi special action and you hold all objectives in your territory, dumb stuff, 3 glory for one objective??? Also can do funny stuff with Uncontested if you can big brain good enough.
Ya, they definitely aren't weak and can certainly be great with enough experience and solid deckbuilding. Also, just because they aren't higher on my general 'across all meta' list, doesn't men they aren't stronger in the current meta than they are ranked here.
@@wtfhammer9160 You've ranked them a lot higher than most rankings I've seen! Glad to see them in A, definitely not S tier. Some rankings put them in B and even C from what I've seen, truly a lack of foresight or play testing, I respectfully disagree with Gitz being A tier and not putting them in B tier, they do everything that Gitz can do but better + Klaq Troq, Inbuilt quarry and access to stupid teleport cards.
@@Bruchlynd.Argyle No problem. I think Gitz are very solid and versatile. Good defence as well across the board with a lot going on. I agree that Starblood are superior though.
I was trying to make Khagra work for months and now when I've played a few games with a beta rules it's just as I thought when I saw those rules. It's a very good and balanced version of it. Forcing them to desecrate 3 obj. (even with your addition) to inspire, makes it almost impossible in most matches. And they are mediocre at best without inspiration. I'm very happy about it. Also as I recall Beta Rules were used by GW a while ago with whole Katophrane Relics shenanigans in S1. Savage Visage is absurdly good in Rippa. Basically changing dog attack to 4 swords with limit of 2 hits. Rippa with this, Hunters Talisman and Trophy Belt was oppressive, scoring huge amount of glory. And I say it as a Rippa player 😉 Rippa should have Loaded with Plunder restricted instead. If any was needed tbh. As for restrictions I think Primal Lunge and Drepur's Ethereal Hunters should be on the list also. But I'm very happy with this FAR list. P.S. Gauntlet of Command is not a Distraction. It's a Sidestep 😉
@@CindySchuchardt Those are far from horrible imo. That's Wurmspat territory. Brutal Desecration, Desolate Domain, Malevolent Exploits, Razed Realm, On the dark Road are good. With 2 desecration tokens to inspire you can even try to play Ravagers All.
