The "issue" is phasmo isn't optimized like at all. Devs didn't using any resource saving techniques so the game will literally load every entity on the map into memory as well as shadow mapping and physics for them regardless of if the player can see them or not. This is why when the campsites first came out they were running machines to crawl with the massive amount of entities and campfire particle and lighting effects. Its far worse for VR players though where the VRAM and GPU usage is basically double.
Fair point 😂 however the premise of the game is you’re the owner / manager so you have to scale your business up by buying licenses , store upgrades , etc. So its more on par with roller coaster tycoon if you’re familiar with that series
there is two things that work, check the computer specs, if it doesnt match then get a better computer, for the other option, did you do anything with the launch option? if so remove what you did, my problem was that I added a code in the advanced launch option which gave me pink textures, but i found a reddit post that helped me, your welcome
I feel like if you are getting stutters, you should change the Texture Quality from Full to Half, if you are still experiencing then just go from Half to a Quarter than keep going down, your game will look ugly but it will fix the stutters mostly. I've been also having this problem on Texture Quality being set to "Full" and it stuttered like every 10 seconds, but switching to Half helped reduce it alot
So I try for my Spectre PC and everytime I try moving and loading in it takes a while. Idk how to fix this. Any tips? I just want to play phas normally
For some reason every time I load in and use the big beginner flashlight it doesn’t light up anything and I can’t play because it’s incredibly dark. I tried some of the suggestions with the graphics, and although it did help with that part the game is still super dark. My specs are gpu Nvidia Quadra k600, cpu intel core i7-4770
Hi! I have i5 processor and gtx 1660. Before the update on max quality i loaded into the game in like 5 seconds. Now, on texture resolution is half, and it takes me 30-40 sec to load into a small map… is there any fixes?
hmm my only thoughts are to look towards your game files location for load times and also your internet connection. Hopefully you're using an SSD for the game files. Hard to say though since you were running fine before the update - I would always start with reinstalling the game . Loading speeds are depending on: - Server capacity (out of your hands) - HDD (try the install on SSD) - Internet speed (out of your hands, or at least, no quick fix for it, besides suspend all downloads and streaming that uses bandwidth )
@@user-fo9kx9ei8t they release new changes to the lighting system in minor update 0.9.4.0 for eye adaption. They also mentioned larger rooms or rooms with darker material such as farm houses may look darker but this is intended.

Do you know how to fix the issue where after a few games the fog seems to vanish and its just dark and hard to see anything, only fix I have found is having to restart the game which is annoying while streaming??
Mwaa means Fantastic! Let's go. Even on 4GB Ram, no graphics card, not a computer (completely), no video card. I can still play with 640x400 resolution. No lag a little. This helps me a lot.
I would try it - unfortunately I just used the toggle. I didnt know voice commands now work to change settings , amazing! U should make a video about that
😳😳 oh no!! Havent tried VR with this game yet - I see hotfix was applied on the 6th for VR. I see quite a few VR specific optimizations in there - could definitely see it affecting ..possible reinstall will fix?
@@Mellownaybor I did everything. Reboot, delete und install again till oculus app. But it doesn’t work. I don’t see if I use quest link to connect my pc, I can’t see the game anymore. I start Steamvr and I try, the same happening. Idk what to do. Game starting always on .exe mod.

Hi Auth - this is most likely a resolution mismatch. Check your resolution settings and change to a widescreen format. Most popular are: 1920x1080 or 1280x720 . Make sure to hit apply, sometimes it takes a few times to get the right one but the black bars should go away after that!
The lighting in low light settings is super messed up on my game and I cannot find a way to fix it. I’m playing on a widescreen monitor though so that might be the issue? Idk.
ah - gotcha! there have been quite a lot of complaints about the level of low light issues in this game that I believe still have not been fixed. However I believe there is a setting called " Volumetric Lighting " that may help adjust that a bit. I would try to play around with that and see results.
@@Mellownaybor I actually figured it out the other day, it had to do with the Fidelity FX super resolution. Once I turned it off then my darker lighting looked normal.
My laptop has 8gb ram and 11th gen i3 processor just giving u specs so u can tell me what settings I have to make . phasmo is running quite good but when I move my mouse it starts lagging and stuttering can u tell me how can I fix it

did that happen after the new update? Was it working just fine before the new update? I'm curious if maybe something in the update may have affected the program on your machine -- which I'm assuming is PC?
sorry to hear you're dealing with that! From my experience, changing the resolution to 1080p usually resolves that. Resolution to 1920x1080@60Hz . Then sometimes toggling the Window Mode and Full Screen mode one more time will fix that. Let me know if you're still having issues after trying that!
