I'm having the same issue with my 05 Chevy Silverado 4x4 show truck. Someone else installed it and no valet button. I'm going to try this on the Avital 4200 remote start.❤
Thanks for this video. It was perfect. I want to ask you a question. My Prius has a key fob that I never need to take out of my pocket as a hand sensor is in the door handle. However, the alarm will be triggered if the Prius fob unlocks the door and it is open. Is there a way for the use of the Prius key fob to turn off the alarm when the unlock button on the Prius fob is pressed and vice versa when the lock button is pressed? Maybe a signal that can be relayed to the Avital? Thanks!
Hi Mate, Im in Perth Australia. Ive got a 07 RR Sport. Can U advise re a center console intermittent fault i have. I start the car n drive. Drive for a few minutes then the radio, GPS and AC stop working. PLUS the indicators stop working, hazard lights come on and central locking system starts closing and opening the doors. I continue driving, 5 or 10 minutes later it all comes back on and works normally, then, switch's off again....................................... Its doing my head in............... This worked perfectly - thanks so much for your very helpful video. The connectors on my wiring harness were heavily corroded. A bit of gaffer tape to hold the fibres back in place facing each other on their connector and all is well again (without the telephone)!
You helped me a ton. I couldn’t find the valet button as I did not have it installed. Knowing which wires to follow me led to me getting my remotes programmed. Thanks so much
This is an older post... but you can get a new bluetooth module - and even a 2009 - 2011 module will fit in it's place. I have a 2006 L322 - fitted with an L320 2010 Bluetooth Module - plugs right in and the bluetooth is marginally better.
I have a 2006 a my screen is completely dead I'm not 100% but I don't think the red light is even on the power button. Anybody have any ideas what it could be? Thanks in advance
Great video. I've seen other videos where they suggest using some sort of splice connector he's repent or straw but I really like the idea of using the actual clip that comes with the car.
this was sp much help and the only video that helped me pair my new avital remote to the hx plus starter in my 2011 malibe I've watched around 10 videos this one was oerfwct because I didn't have the programming button the other videos were talking about
Ok Here you go. With the wire I created, I touch both metal pieces inside the blue slot. Touch both with the wire to initiate the programming (just touch and come off them) and then immediately hold the wire on them for 5 seconds and then hold the lock on the remote for 5 seconds
I went step by step through the video, not saying it dosent work but I must’ve done something wrong because I still have a blinking light and a frozen screen. Tried un doing and re doing twice - help?

Daughter home from college for holidays and remote start fob needed replacement. It arrived and not able to program, nothing in the purchase or researching stated that a valet switch was needed to program. Ordered valet switch and after 2 weeks it still had not been delivered. Daughter was to return to campus today so I gave it one more try to figure out. I came across your video and 5 minutes later everything was programmed and buttoned back up. She can now start her car remotely and have a warm and safe car . As a father I greatly appreciate this! Thank you again!
