I'm thinking of buying these, but I want to try and use like a non medical syringe to extract the paint without opening them all up because I live in the desert

Yea I do wish they were individual tubs so I could color coordinate them a bit better. They are fun to play with and I've already found a channel with gouache tutorials to follow. 💕😁💛
