July 6th 2024 ....... I've just finished installing my Aire 3 in my off grid tiny house in regional Victoria Australia ........ absolutely works a treat. Very low amount of wood used for a full night of warmth where the temp outside dropped to -2C overnight. My tiny house is 10mtrs long x 2.4m wide x 3.2m high (inside) ..... heats in no time. It wasn't the cheapest wood heater by a long way but I wanted a heater purposely designed for TH's and I wanted high quality, not some cheap junky chinese rubbish. Shout out to Maddi at Pivot for her great customer service and assistance. I actually bought 2 wood heaters from Pivot ...... great company to deal with !!

What happens if you can’t get the pin out
@pivotstove
@pivotstove Месяц назад
The pin needs to come out. If it is stuck, you may have to knock it loose with a hammer.
@pashabulker12
@pashabulker12 Месяц назад
For anyone else that encounters a rusty pin that won’t move, you can grind the pin off as much as you can. Then use a hammer and punch to knock the remaining stuck pin towards the rear of the heater. It will drop down on the fire bricks and can be removed.

Thanks Dave. I've tried your method for the second time. It's the first time I'd started a fire without a firefighter! Also, with less paper. I did still have some smoke outside, some of my kindling was from discarded trees. Overall, much more successful. Loading more logs at the end was a good tip. 😊

Hi do you have any tips on how to locate the air box on a TN20? The instructions say to use room air supply to remove the cover plate from the read of the air box. However, doesn’t make it clear on where to find this or how to do it. Our TN20 isn’t throwing out as much heat as our old 1989 Norseman did and I think this is why.

Massively dissapointed with our Bakeheart. Its always got too much air going through it and It goes through fuel like stink when its windy. To get the oven to 170 takes four hours by which time the room is uncomfortably hot. Never managed to get it up to a useful cooking temperature. The clean air regs in the UK have ruined woodburners.

TAKE NOTE...if you live in the UK, the clearance distances do NOT apply.....it is 400mm side and 500mm rear in the UK. Apart from that, it was great to learn some extra things about this fab stove!

Is there a way to clean inside the bellows? I’m having an airflow issue and I think there may be ash inside there
@pivotstove
@pivotstove 6 месяцев назад
HI Melanie, To clean the bellows, bursts of pressure air, or a flexible pipe cleaner to hopefully agitate/loosen any debrish, and a vaccuum to hopefully suck it all up. If you have an inbuilt model, this is the only way without uninstalling it. However, if you have a freestanding model, you can remove the ash pan to find the intake holes towards to front of the bottom of the firebox.
@melaniesnyder5952
@melaniesnyder5952 6 месяцев назад
How do you clean out the rear support. It wasn’t covered when it was swept and is full of debris. Also, do you have a video on how to clean the blowers?
@pivotstove
@pivotstove 6 месяцев назад
Hi Melanie, If by rear support, you mean the rear air tube, then perhaps a small flexible hose attached to the end of a vacuum will be the easiest way. If you have an inbuilt model, this is the only way without uninstalling it. However, if you have a freestanding model, there is a rectangular plate that can be removed to access the base of the tube which you can use a soft brush and vaccuum.

Getting the Bakeheart oven to a higher temp than 150degrees Celsius needs you to fire it up really high so I can't come near it and needing me to open al the doors of my house in order not to get baked myself. That said, ovendishes work great and cookies to! I would buy it again!
@pivotstove
@pivotstove 6 месяцев назад
Hi there! If you're having difficulty standing in front of your ESSE Bakeheart, placing a fire screen over the towel rail in front of the firebox reduces the heat coming into the room by 80%, allowing you to stand in front of the firebox without issue. Also if you have too much or too little ash in your firebox, that can affect the heat transfer to the oven. ESSE recommends 20mm of ash for best heat transfer. Hope this helps, and we're glad you're happy with the Bakeheart, and the cookies it produces too! :)

@wnose
@wnose 7 месяцев назад
This is really a killer application for a wood stove. As far as I know, no other wood stove in North America has the same option. And it's impossible to grill indoors otherwise. What's the size of the grill & how hot can it get? I wonder if it can fit a 12 inch (30 cm) pizza.
