Maybe children? Some people include pets, but she said "each person" but could've been she misspoke. Could be nice if it was about the union of the families, not just the couple.
Hi Sam just to clarify - if a couple have children we include them as members of the new union. It's a lovely way of symbolising the "blending" of families
