Still want the xperia experience. But Chinese flagship phone are just jam-packed with camera hardware with big brand like Zeiss leica and Hasselblad and i also want those 😂.
Yeah it's sad we are all moving away from Xperia for longer term phones, Sony needs to get their software support and feature updates for older phones in order to stay with Xperia longer. I'm really looking forward to what you can do with this phone might get it as well later next year.
Xiaomi is everything I expected Sony to eventually become in terms of camera. It's a shame really. Xperia had tons of potential at one point. Thanks for watching!
@@therepearblack3552 Thanks so much for the kind comment! I actually have a macro lens coming soon that I'm gonna test. I'll definitely make a video on it. As for long exposures, you mean you want like a wider FOV for your main lens?
@@sop1311 Thanks for watching! I could make some videos on emulation. I didn't realize people would want that. Most of my live streams have all been emulation actually. A macro shootout is also a great idea!
I feel kinda sad that you're abandoning your Xperia journey. I mean Xiaomi is good & all, but never great. their OS is one of my least favorites in the android space & this is coming from someone who has owned Xiaomi phones over the past 5 years. There's just something magical about Xperia devices, albeit very slow with their promises on updates & adopting the bleeding edge of Camera lenses on their devices but they are just optimized so well in a way that Xiaomi would never be able to achieve. That's my opinion at least. BTW, I think the Vivo X100 has surpassed the Xiaomi 14 ultra in terms of photography & picture quality, you should do a side by side comparison.
@@aimanmahmoud3594 I've used Xperia for years now, and idk if we're just seeing something different, but I've been completely underwhelmed. I agree about Xiaomi software though, it's not my favorite. The plus side is that I plan on getting near stock android for it. With the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, top devs in basically every area are working at it, so it'll likely be one of the best devices for several years in just about every department. I've used the X100 Pro for almost a whole year now, since it first came out. It's also better than Xperia imo, but the versatility of the Xiaomi so far is still better imo. Everyone is different and wants different things. For me, the camera's optical performance is most important. So having 4 separate, great lens setups is a dream. I don't personally care about AI camera stuff or how far I can zoom. Just the raw optical quality. Thanks for watching!
Does this version you got was advertised as the "Japanese version" when you bought it? I"ve seen it being sold on the Japanese Amazon named like that but no mention about the compatible networks and NFC compatibility. OTOH, the 13T Pro there had no mention of Japanese version but was FeliCa-compatible.
I believe this is an EU global version based on the charger in the box. I haven't tried but I can guarantee 99% it's not FeliCa compatible. On Xiaomi's Japan site they also mention osaifu-keitai and felica aren't supported as well. It's just the cost of importing these phones I think 😅
My using this model. He told me, this phone heating very fast, can feel warm when holding and battery drain bit faster. Heating because SD 8gen3 ?. Battery drain fast because of HyperOS? I don't know.. maybe only his unit have the issues. I'm using Xiaomi 13t , not experienced the heating up issues. But battery, could feel bit drain when updated to HyperOS Xiaomi 14 ultra feel heavy on hand. Feel good when gripping with the photography kit. Love your Xperia content. Recently i bought Xperia 1 iv as second phone. 🙈 Use your video for reference. Much love from Malaysia 💙💛❤️🤍🇲🇾
Thanks for watching! I go by temp monitoring apps as to whether or not my device is too warm. I don't mind if the exterior is warm, since that means it's effectively channeling heat away from the chip, etc. Battery is admittedly not great, but I still get through a day no problem with fairly heavy use. Likely HyperOS isn't very well optimized. I actually think it feels good to hold. A bit smaller and better balanced than my Vivo X100 Pro. 1V was my favorite ever to hold. But camera performance just wasn't up to my standards. Enjoy shooting!
Also for anyone wondering, I got both the phone and photography kit bundled together on Mercari for ¥160,000 which is about $1072 at the time of recording. The phone is global and the photo kit is Chinese. I could've gotten a fully used phone with some dings for around $100 cheaper, but this deal was really good to include the photo kit for essentially free.
@@Musammil__sulfi This seems like a trick question lol. I'm gonna offend a large portion of the population but I don't consider iPhone to be particularly good at just about anything I do. Definitely choosing 14 Ultra
@@zanyar_j_majid I'm likely not going to get any Vivo devices this cycle. The X200 Pro seems to not be an upgrade in any department. Worse main cam than this year, and the telephoto is the same as the X100 Ultra. 😅
Vivo has great lens elements - but Xiaomi both has more sensors, so there are less focal ranges in which you need to use digital zoom, and the color science on on Xiaomi truly outperforms Vivo. It has truly nailed that authentic, contrasty, moody look that comes from real cameras. Xiaomi is probably the closest thing to a "real camera" in a phone. Also, if you're looking into the future, the Xiaomi 15 ultra is going to get the telephoto sensor from the X100 Ultra (X200 Pro), but it will also have a 3x telephoto camera that Vivo doesn't have, and it will keep the 1-inch type sensor that Vivo chose to downgrade from in the X200 pro.
@@yeetiesandwheaties Hard agree. I think the X200 Pro seems underwhelming. The other main reason I'm sticking with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, is that many major devs are focusing on this device. This will likely be one of the most loved devices for the next several years
Loved your video & your thoughts on the Xperia 1 Mark 6. I do agree with you on many of the things you've mentioned, ditching the 21:9 AR is a big downside. But what is most disappointing is the quality of optics or sensors they opted to use in these phones. I mean one would think that "SONY" could definitely do better, especially considering the price they are asking for & the fact that they are selling premium sensors to many competitors out there Including Apple, Samsung & Google, So why not use the cutting edge in their Xperia 1 lineup & try to provide a photographic experience unlike any other ?1 It's like you said, they simply can't be bothered... I'm sure if they really wanted to improve they could, with all the blabbering about their Sony Alpha optics team integration into the making of these devices., yet they still can't put a 1" sensor into their phone ..... But can totally sell one to the competition !!! I guess they really don't care about their pro consumers anymore. I believe they have lost their vision & decided they want a piece of that bigger pie so they started following the new trend of devices & while they maintained some of the good features like having a Micro USB expansion & headphone jack, they are still far behind the competition.. I still like the old Sony Xperias & that's why I wait until I see these devices go extremely cheep & then buy them. I mean I've literally bought a 5 Mark 3 for around 80 bucks & a 1 Mark 4 for 130 bucks which are both good deals in my opinion. however, while I do like natural look & feel of images & videos that come out of these cameras, as well as the amount of customizability offered in their photography apps, the quality is still wildly out dated in comparison to the competition. And that exactly why I must keep a trusty IPhone on the side at all times ...
@@aimanmahmoud3594 Completely agree. They had every opportunity to be in the position of OEMs like Xiaomi and Vivo, with how everyone is praising their camera setups. But I just don't think they care. On paper the variable zoom and Exmor T are cool. In reality they are far worse than the alternatives available today from other manufacturers. Maybe one day their vision will pan out, but I'm not going to pay a premium to be their guinea pig. Thanks for watching!
Hy, did you have today any issues with the Vivo X100 pro and Motion Cam? I'm thinking of buying the phone, love the photos, bit still thinking because of performance in MC...
@@SmartphoneCinematography Thanks for watching! Performance wise I've had no issues, but all lenses are capped at 30fps, so no slow mo! In hot weather it can throttle a bit, but as long as you're not doing too long of takes it should be okay
hi bro, I have a question, Have you ever tried to shoot the X100 Pro with the SSD plugin? I am curious because I am in the market of x100 pro and curious to know if it can save directly to the SSD. Thanks!
@@mynameisdavid321 Thanks for watching! T-series is newer and supports more modern, larger sensor phones. M-series is older, and can cause vignetting on newer phones since they were created with smaller sensors in mind
Every year or less there will be an upgrade or some phone that is "better" and most of the time those features won't come to the previous version, that's how they make money. I understand the disappointment. What I'm learning to do now (always known this mentally), you buy a phone for what it is now and enjoy that or buy new ones for every new feature or upgrade and never be satisfied, that's what companies want from their customers....😉 Now and then I'll use an older phone for one or two days and when I get back to my latest phone I'm happy enough.😊
bought xperia 1 for about 100usd. this thing still okay for 2024. plan to buy the xperia 1 mark 3 next year, if this one got porblem. coming from ios, because i got bored with the iPhone
No joke put 20 hours of Pokemon Gaia GBA emulation into this the past couple weeks. Check out the tablet on AliExpress here: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_oEZOg3X
@ShibiChan which of these phones is best for everyday use? - Xiaomi 14 Ultra - Xiaomi 14T Pro - newest - Vivo X100 Pro I mean: screen, speakers, gaming experience, ergonomics, system, camera/photo (completely in general)

@@sahilmemon8211 Thanks for the question! It stands for input / output and basically monitors the health and speed of internal storage while writing to it. A higher percentage could lead to dropped frames or drop outs, as memory cannot keep up with what is being written. Likely not a problem for most higher end devices with top of the line storage , but is likely very important for mid tier or lower tier devices
