To answer your question, why did he plonk so fast in Alberta, it's because of the bollards with two thin black strips on their tops, unique to Alberta in this form^^ (And for Hokkaido in Japan, it's because of the snow arrows pointing down, almost unique to this region as well)
9:03 I also think Queensland is a strange guess there maybe he just got confused or in game the opponent put him under pressure when he didn’t have the info he needed
5:40 that hazy coverage and northern feel with small trees and this soil is very much magadan and the road to their, if you want to practice Russia, there is a map called: „A Learnable Russia“ by illusion that also has a doc with explanations linked. It features distinct areas in Russia that you won’t miss after seeing them once or twice and that really helps you to develop some „vibes“ for Russia
Haha ja, beim hochladen ist mir das dann aufgefallen 😂 hätte mir aber ehrlicherweise auch ingame schon auffallen können, wenn ich etwas mehr aufgepasst hätte
That was a fun video! R1 - Nice job, as you said those bollards are only in Czechia and Slovakia and you got the right one. R2 - Those bollards are only in the Netherlands and rarely in Romania. You picked up on the bike lanes and architecture well enough that it was not really necessary, so nice guess. R3 - You got the Baltic vibe, I also was not sure about the bollards, but if you see how it is sort of circular that is only in Estonia rather than Lithuania and Latvia. Also there was a kilometer marker sign up the road which is set up in the Estonian way. (check Estonia Plonk It Guide to understand better, hard to explain) R4 - Better guess than me, I was between the area I guessed and Sakhalin (the island it was on) but for whatever reason went the wrong one. I should have trusted that the ocean was nearby like you said and picked up on the Summer-y vibe of the coverage which is much more common on that island. R5 - Pretty good guess in Kazakhstan, if you look at the back of the car and it has mud smeared over it like that it is only around the South area to the East of Almaty. Overall, if you would like to improve on getting the country, I would suggest that whenever you miss the country you go to the Plonk It Guide for that country and see if there is anything in the round that would help. Hope I helped and good luck with your improvement!
Hey, thank you for your feedback and nice that you enjoyed the video! Maybe I will do that more often in the future. Thank you also for your analysis. Yeah I did not look into the car meta of kazakhstan before so probably should do this someday 😅
11:58 that is the Khmer script on the right which would mean Cambodia I think 13:00 I feel like the sign in the road middle was more set up for left side drive (slightly tilted to the left road side), which would make you think south east Asia, like indo, Thai, Malay or sth like that (from the possibilities it definitely is a weird round but just looks most like indo from the vibe)
The way that No Moving game went is so interesting, I remember playing this when it first launched and whenever you guessed before the opponent it would just immediately reveal their guess without a countdown. I’m not sure why they would change it to be like that (unless I’m misremembering it) but anyways we take the win haha
GG for the two wins! The NMPZ game really shows the way you can vibe-guess is impressive! If... I may add something too (tell me if I talk too much), for the round starting at 12:40, you were trying to narrow down the possibilities, when you have safety guard rails, you can eliminate Italy or Spain easily by finding the color of the reflectors in them. Here, they are white, in Spain they would have been yellow most likely, and red in Italy!
Thank you and no the comments are not too much. In fact I really appreciate them! Actually I heard about the reflector lights but did not look into the different colours before so yeah that is a nice tip too! :)
Nice games, GG for the wins!! If I may add something to help recognize Western Australia for sure (you had a really good vibe from the vegetation and the soil color basically, so GG anyway), the yellow painted sticks, here for the city marker (with the letter J on it), and the bollard with a wooden bottom are unique to this region. Can help when unsure!
Hey, thank you for the feedback. I had to speak quite quite in this episodeand therefore i tested it afterwards and it was fine on my PC. But it seems like it is not fine because you are not the only one telling me. Sorry for that! :( i will try to fix that for the next episode. I hope you could still hear something though 😅
I'm in Champion and also have mixed feelings on the system at the moment. Us Champs are in one big group (1000+ people) rather than smaller ones. Since there is no way for us to rank up, the only incentive for us to play is to not DE-rank, which is interesting. Overall I see this change being positive for beginner/intermediate players like yourself, but it really is a negligible change for anyone above Master. Besides that, you have a really great camera presence mate, I really enjoyed the video :D Hope to see more!
Oh wait thats crazy… so the last x amount of Champs will get deranked every week? Do you know how many are getting deranked every week? Atleast you still have the rating you can play for but i still dont get why they detached the rating from the division… but we will see 😅 And thank you for your compliment. Always a blast hearing something like that :)
Yeah the bottom 120 or so will be deranked it seems to make way for the players coming up from Master. A majority of those players have only played one or two games though so I doubt they will stay in Master for too long if they end up playing all of their matches there.
1:35 this is a really weird meta but ot works for some reason. In bolivia you often see those weird squiggly poles, also when its green and flat in bolvia click santa cruz for a free good score
🐐Thanks for playing and including the challenges in the vid - the voiceover worked out really well in my opinion :D 🐐 When it comes to the Italy round (4:00) it could have been anywhere on this latitude, and France/Romania were definitely reasonable guesses; Kudos for getting Israel (which was quite challenging imo, could've been Spain or Turkey); At 7:50, in the Slovakian round which is a bigger town in Slovakia :) And at 8:20 this literally looked like Germany to me lol; Also 5king the Hahn airport was really nice from you, definitely didnt look big enough to be Frankfurt, but I didn't have the time to look for it - wpwp; And before 2009 (or 2008) the license plates in France were yellow - that's why it might have confused you :) Looking forward to more vids, I'll try to leave my tips on the previous, and the ones in the future 💪
The video is amazing but I think if you could explain how you are guessing the countries so quickly it would be the cherry on the cake.♥from India @@maiskolf
Hey! In the first game, the country of Kyrgyzstan can be recognised by the google car with the bars, kind of a russian vibe and lots of snow :) Mongolia is a country quite similar to Kyrg, but the languages are slightly different and the Kyrgyz car is all silver (compared to Mongolia's various cars); In the second game: Chile is similar to Arg/Uru but looks slighly wealthier and also often we see the white wide front of the google car :) And when it comes to the black and white sign, I think I've seen it at least in Argentina & Chile as well. Also, Hungary does not use a Slavic language (which is very distinguishable) + Polish doesn't use an accent on top of the E. In the third game: Indeed, what you saw on the front of google car was the famous 'Kenya snorkel' - only to be found in Kenya! Also, the white front on the African continent is found mostly in South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho and Botswana (which indeed looks very dry and sandy, kinda like Senegal); In the last round we saw the bollard most common in Austria and Slovenia [🤓🤓🤓]. GGs, 2nd place is still on the podium 💪
Kotyu back with the tips! Thank you again :D I feel like my head is exploding with things to recognise in the games haha. Hopefully with time it all adds up more often :)
3:00 in Australia you would never get the Yellow outer lines, in Australia they use full White lines and in za(south Africa) they use on roads Yellow outer lines
Nice videos so far. Are you on Discord? There are big servers with a lot of helpful people - if you want to we can have a call - let me know. i am pretty sure we even speak the same language :)
Hey Paul, sorry for the late reply. I was busy over the weekend and also am this whole week. I will add you though and will text you when I finally have more time again :D
Round 3 was a nice find, and when it comes to round 4: Luxembourg is an interesting (and an accurate guess in Europe), however you'd find yellow license plates there 🤓 (funnily enough France also used yellow plates and they can be found there, but usually Luxembourg locations are found in cities or like bigger towns). Nice try in round 5, I believe Bermuda is quite a recent addition to the Street View, and those locations are sometimes quite crazy to guess. Thanks for the vid, I'll be waiting for another one 🙏🐐
Heya, hope you'll be healthy asap :D If you don't really enjoy moving (and thus, the Daily Challenges) I'd perhaps suggest playing (without moving) A Rural World/A Dirty World (both of them are difficult maps placing you in a rural location, often without any info - it might be too difficult at first). When it comes to round #1 - I feel the struggle with Australia and South Africa, but there's a solution! In southern African countries (like South Africa or Lesotho etc) you see yellow outside lines which are absent in Australia! Also, .za stands for Zuid Afrika (which in Dutch/Afrikaans means "South Africa") Round #2 was a famous trekker - the Alley of Baobabs, which are only found in Madagascar (this is a very niche meta, but a famous place). [fyi Trekker means the Google coverage was taken on foot instead of a car].
Hey, thank you. I‘m way better today :) yeah i think it probably is best to stick with moving for a bit and switch to no moving when i feel a bit more confident. Actually the daily challenges are fine and fun altough its moving 👍
