A channel for all that I like, mainly being old cars in various states of disrepair, sweet reggae music,hip-hop,house and anything else I fancy, maybe even some sheep.
My dad had one of these 1972, got a promotion so moved up to a morris 1800, then got another promotion so bought a jaguar xj6 3.4. In 1976. And the engine blew 😮
Has a 1500 maxi loved it to bits sure miss it but don’t tell that clarkson he ran most leyland down and lots cancelled their orders because of his reviews
Superb car... These are SERIOUSLY underrated cars. Launched in 1969 and designed by the late Sir Alex Issigonis.. The Austin Maxi was a huge success throughout the 1970s. By 1980 the design was starting to look a bit dated, So British Leyland gave the car a slight refresh "On the cheap" with new black bumpers and a new grill with the blue badge in the center. Just to buy the car a bit more time. On Wednesday 8th July 1981 the very last Austin Maxi rolled down the production line and is now in the British Motor Museum for future generations to see. I have seen the car it is on the registration plate LOV 476 X she is a stunner. Thank you for this video...
Lovely example never owned one brilliant cars and ahead of their time when launched with hatch back and five gears. Had two Allegos both E series one 1500 one 1750 never, ever let me down even though both vehicles lived outside. Used to go on holiday for two weeks and both would start first time after being idle for all that time. Only got rid of the last one as I got a company car I was heartbroken but there you go! I would be more than happy to own any E series car today more than adequate for a daily driver. Hope you enjoy your car looked in nice condition. Did it pass the not. All the best.
How does it drive? My dad had 3 of these before going over to Mazda because we couldn’t buy them anymore in Sweden. I don’t remember much of it, but he had two red ones then a beige .
What a lovely car. Arena red is stunning on that smooth body. I've a 2001 996 and absolutely love it. Keep those 17 twists on her! There's a lot of folks who lower the suspension, mount 19s and add aerokits but I've resisted the GT3 clone fad. I'm a fan of that stock look. Purity of design and all that i suppose. To each his/her own, I'm not judging anyone. Drive the wheels off it regardless.
I'd love to own one of these but I've got nowhere to keep it at present. So I have to wait until I move...could be some time, by then I'm sure the prices will be stupid.
Sure you'll enjoy it. I bought my 986 new in 1999. Done 30k and never been out in the rain. Fortunate enough to have two other Porsches but still enjoy the old Boxster.
@@kriskalpa I don't think so. I've just got a new 992 GTS which is such an amazing car but the 986 still sounds pretty good. By comparison the Boxster is very slow but that makes it easier to play with. PM me and if I change my mind I'll contact you.
@@davidowen2859 Sounds great, love the GTS. I can't message I think, I have tried but unsure how to do it on YT. If you do change your mind you could reply to me here and we can go from there. Enjoy the new car!
I just bought myself a grey 2.7. Even if the prices are up right now, it is just a great value for this car! Best convertible with even Porsche feeling.
