A better idea would be the Ministry of Education has been able to completely shut down the school because Miss Fritton has passed away, all of the old school records have been sealed and the building has been renovated. It's been turned into a strict, no nonsense boarding school that is constantly being bullied and run over by all the other schools in the district. By chance, one of the girls finds a loose board in one of the dorm rooms/storage sheds and behind it is one of the weapons caches and a list of the original student's names and addresses. She calls the first name on the list and tells her what had happened. Then the rest of the movie is the new girl recruiting a new squad of St. Trinians students and learning who they really are. And near the end, Annabelle kicks out the old headmistress and takes up the post. The twins are named co-head girls and the others take up teaching posts.
Yeah, the girls of the 'Pitch Perfect' franchise haven't got anything on the girls of 'St Trinians' - in both this film series and the original film series from the 50s and 60s
I watched The Belles of St. Trinians just recently. I nearly died when I saw all the shop owner's closing up and the constable locking HIMSELF in jail when he heard that the girls were returning to school.

Why not? You’re taught how to handle ordinance, handguns, fencing, brewing and fermenting your own booze; as well as gambling, the stock market, computers, car maintenance, all sorts of stuff like that.
The foundation of it is anarchy, sooo.... I mean, granted that a lot of people calling themselves anarchist are idiots, but valley girls don't really work for a movie favoring anarchy. I would contend that someone might claim to be remaking it, but with a different foundation, which would ultimately make it not St. Trinian's. Not sure I completely agree or disagree with you.
