These people would all be in their 70s now. It would certainly be intresting to track down as many of these girls as you can and really find out how they lived their lives. Most, but not all are probably still alive. Those who are not may still have interesting stories if it can be verified. To seee all those teens with their boundlss energy is in may ways invigorating.

I remember watching you with the camera. I made sure that I was behind you. So many fun memories. I have to share this with a few others that were there in 69. Hugsssss

Thank you so much. This was one year before I attended. I was a freshman in the very last year the St. Bernardine's still existed, before it combined with Aquinas. I loved St. Bernardine's!

I'll have to watch this more closely, I might recognize more people. Seems to me I went to a dance there at St. Bernardine's about that time.

+ripperduck Seriously? It was a small, all-girls Catholic high school in 1969. How many black Catholics did you know at that time? Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana has always had a significant African-American student body, but they most likely recruit non-Catholic athletes.

Sharn, you've given us a precious glimpse backward to a playful, joyful, and completely goofy time of our lives...Slave Day, the Spreads... all that cheerleading and hopping on each others backs...all my beautiful classmates, shrinking from the camera behind the long hair. I loved every minute-- esp. "What's Your Bag?" Thank you for a rare gift.
