Hey Chris! I think seeing your face is fab, but maybe think about making the box smaller or moving it to the top right? Or perhaps take the box into account when creating the slides because sometimes (not often) your face can obstruct the the slides.

Revisiting this lecture I'm reminded how terrific it is! Your summary of Audience Theory is brilliantly concise and insightful. The reception and creation of media over the last century has been such an enchanting dance. I'm not sure if I share your faith in the rise of popularism and participatory media as a sustainable mode of production. The examples provided give the impression that we are on a trajectory away from "legacy" media towards a more "produser" centric paradigm, but there always seems to be a dependance on commercial/copyrighted media (such as computer games) and prescriptive social media platforms like Instagram. I wonder how you see this relationship developing and if efforts like taxing platforms for Australian news content undermine this trajectory? Does original online emergent media exist or is it by nature limited to a kind of paratextual relationship? There are so many interesting examples here that highlight the diversity of contemporary media uses - I love the wood carver and knowing he has a supportive niche!
