A co-worker of mine brought in her great grandfather's pocket watch. I saw that it was a Waltham, but had no idea beyond that. Google lens pulled up the exact model number, and had a link to eBay that listed it at $2,500.
Great that it is secure, but the problem is that the police can force you to unlock your phone with your face but they cannot force you to divulge a 6 digit PIN or pattern login
WOW! Where was I all this time? I am huge google phones fan, had them ever since first Nexus came out, the father of Pixel. Your video is so comprehensive and easy to understand. Thank you so much! PS video posted 2 yrs ago, I guess progressed vastly.
Can you expand on your pivot into SWE after investing so much time into EE? As someone with a similar opportunity, I would be interested to hear what motivated you.
Thanks for the vid, very informative. I just got a pixel 8 and was wondering if i could really trust the face unlock to secure my phone. The use of PDAF as a depth measurement is incredibly smart and I feel much more inclined to rely on that rather than the fp sensor !
Hey Jan, love the video! Was wondering as an EE undergrad student what the importance of grades are as an undergrad and if it matters a lot for scholarships / job opportunities? Thank you !
PhD is really if you have aspirations for R&D and academia. If you are that kind of person and that is what will make you happy and fulfilled in life , then go for it. You can always leave with a masters, and the time spent beyond your masters doing phd work is experience on the resume, so it is not a waste. You only have one life, just pursue your passions.
You are so right. I got my PhD in Computer Science 25 years ago. I too asked this very question. Should I get my PhD? I had just completed my Masters degree and decided to bite the bullet and go for it. Just like you, my parents were also academics and valued education above monetary wealth. Having a PhD, speaks volumes about you before you even utter a word. My children are all grown now and they too are academics. Bottom line is, my parent were right. We are now at 8 generations of academics.
Due to my fingerprint problems, I am not able to use fingerprint readers. Because of that I have to use FaceID in iPhone. I have been waiting for alternatives in android side. That is the only thing keep me on iPhone. I may think about Google Pixel as a next phone.
@@Barcetta1 🤣🤣🤣 do not say anything what you do not know) l am a programmer and I use huawei and honor phones more than 5 years. They unlock banking apps faster and secure than Iphone. Just check it, or search on the internet, but do not lie))
I think cause that technology too expensive. In that case if all android will use 3d technology. The phones will cost more expensive cause all sensors of face id expensive in making. That is the reason why android brands won’t use this technology
Thank s for the video I have a Pixel 8 that I received few days ago . the magic editor was working beautifly . but now few days ago stopped completely saying"magic editor currently can't support this edit" and I tried many deferent photos . no luck any idea maybe how to solve it? Love your video and the calm delivery that you use. I find that so many of the You Tube presenters speak so quickly that they are difficult to follow. And the content of your video was very helpful to a novice at Lens. Thanks.
Magic Eraser not working on my pre-installed Google Photo app. Everything else works but the app crash when I try to use the magic eraser 😢 Please assist.
ah sorry, I didn’t realize that might be confusing 😞 Yes, ‘iPhone in-app editing’ means I’m editing in the Google Photos app on an iPhone vs on the Pixel device.
