After performing “No Surrender” with Bruce Springsteen in Philadelphia back September 9, 2016, I was inspired to start writing my own music and patiently pursue releasing an album of original material. Now, nearly 5 years later, I have finally fulfilled that dream with my release of “Into The Past”. As a 25 year old from Houston TX, I have a wide genre of music from rock, pop/rock, indie, singer/songwriter, etc. I hope you enjoy my music and find songs that resonate with you!
Matthew what you did was transformational…you got little applause at first then based on prep delivered what you knew you could from the heart!! Bruce is an incredibly kind artist but I’m sure he never thought what he got when he picked you it was an inspiring moment thank you!!!
Damn! I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I'M the only person (audience member) that saw you and your Dad give Bruce the sign in 2014 at The Woodlands, saw you and your Dad dance in OKC in 2016, AND saw you get on stage in Philadelphia (No Surrender) in 2016!
Bruce’s music is essential, like the rain. He doesn’t just write about love but of longing and of friendship, of life. Our loved ones aren’t just our companions. They’re imperfect beings who nonetheless, despite their flaws, are next to us when we need them most. This song makes me cry not because of Roy’s piano, or Danny’s organ, which Charlie epically replicates in his honor; it makes me cry because it shows me for a brief instant how my loved ones see me. Imperfect but by their side even after they’re gone.
Lost my little brother to that dreaded disease. So many lines in that soundtrack that really tells it all especially in the early 90s when doctors were still baffled about what to do. My brother just kept partying. Only time our mother could make him smile
Best mother in the world. Made sure that he had stems and lighters at all times. She died before he did but she made me promise to do the same. I had no choice but do what I promised her that I would do. He always had a big smile
You're Right, the best live version I've heard of Bruce's masterpiece! The guy is soo incredibly talented and this song brings me back to my young self when I owned a 71 "cuda with a 440 six-pack and 4 speed. Boy, do I wish I had it now. That thing was dam fast and we used to race every weekend in Sanford Maine. I also had a '71 Z28 split bumper with a 350/350 and a hurst on the floor, it was a screamer. One of my favorite songs by Bruce. The whole album, "DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN", is a masterpiece! I also love the album, "Nebraska". Thanks for sharing!
Éste hombre es excepcional, no me canso de verle y escuchar su inigualable voz y sus composiciones sin desperdicios, que buena música, realmente es un genio❤
This song is so special. It always reminds me of my wonderful husband. Even if parted we are one. I love you, I love you , I love you, I love you, I do x
He is so awesome for giving this young man such a wonderful memory. He was so good and looked like Bruce’s clone up there. Made every move with the guitar that Bruce did. He will never forget this.
I had forgotten about this track until Bruce played it at The Stadium of Light on Wednesday 22/5 in the rain and it was probably my favourite song that night, one because its an awesome tune and two because its just the best anthem for a Rangers supporter and follower, thank you on both counts Bruce, brilliant 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Asia follows me around along with other losers on bikes and pretends like little radio city zaps and wizard wand garbage and roofied drinks are making me move or stay or cross the street or whatever. Like one loser after another would try and anticipate my move, mumble some shit, gamble on it and then claim he signaled me, just to get on some wretched gamer chatboard which totally isn't for jerkoffs at a government office.
