It will make the lishi lock Picking professional and criminals have a much harder time lockpicking any of these locks. The best way I know of to stop brute force entry Is by using a good surveillance camera system. A very good kwikset electronic deadbolt lock or something like Medeco deadbolt Locks will secure your home while you are sleeping. @@ferndogg4427 here’s the difference if you’re standing at the door opening facing the lock and you slip your leash tool in the lock and imagine that the pins on the lock are on the top not upside down but right side up now if you look on the right side of the flat part of the tool where the pic goes up and down, and the lettering number graduations are on that side as you look at it, that would be all right now if you look on the other side and the number and lettering graduations are on your left-hand side or to your left but facing you that would be a left. Maybe if you stick it in the lock you’ll see what I’m saying hopefully this has been helpful.
No, it doesn’t. It just makes it a few seconds longer to pick now I will say this in KW1 lishi if you use a number seven Kwikset pin in your cylinder the pick cannot pick a number seven because the number seven when you insert the pick into the cylinder it goes past the sheer line, pretty cool really highly suggest. Use that brand and that size of pen. For a.Kwikset lock.
@doorandlocktips Wouldn't that mean you would have to have a special key cut for that Lock if you change past a standard #6 pin (say the pre cut key used to rekey only goes down to 6?) Or am I totally off?
@@resecurelatch no you would have to match wherever chamber you put that #7 pin cutting that new key depth from 6 to 7 if you have a number six cut on your key, you are exactly right

Loving the video. I’m glad that screwdriver is working out for you. For the price it’s definitely a nice backup option. Got some good nuggets in there panning for dirt 😂! Thanks for all the tips!
Too much fun that video set me back six days it doesn’t look like it, but the editing was murder. I have so many word whiskers. It’s like old ages killing me. Thanks so much for all your comments. I enjoy reading all your thoughts. Thanks again.❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
@@doorandlocktips no problem, also I was able to read the part number on that sidebar spring bag on my giant tv. They’re Medeco CP-030018 if you need any more.
I wanted to see how you put the driver pins in but unfortunately even you have trouble with them. I have a hard time puting in the driver pins because they are so short, someone need to come up with a special tool for just that.
Yeah, that whole system is very very very very hard. It’s so easy to make a mistake. I feel sorry for the guy that has never taken and re-pinned one of those. It’s trial and error. @@blakkat531 you’ll have to match your cylinder with the appropriate key not all keys go into different cylinders. You have to have the key that goes into that cylinder.
@@blakkat531 I wasn’t much help really here’s the list thatThe lishi lock picks can pick for the USA ru-vid.comUgkxzKe_QKFgKSGPZQfU5Wh-r_pRlFE1Pjw6?si=7PLOucKvm5CcoEVl
My old 1992 VW Cabriolet being such an old car in the barn, I don't have the original keys for the ignition, doors, trunk, and gas cap. That will be a good practice to decode. What lishi is available for it?
So you came this far because you Don't have a screw driver , no core in your door nor one to put in it but you have to get to the other side.... Easy, you just need to fashion yourself a key long and skinny enough to push on those pins and strong enough to withstand the push itself. In my case I tore the strip off an old credit card and folded it hamburger style and it should be strong enough for at least a few opens . Turn that sucker clockwise pushing on both pins and then boom. As long as it's small enough to get between the pins and able to push on both you should be able to get yourself into any room without needing to find a core.
Is there a certain one that works on most locks like house or padlock? I’m new to this and want something very versatile. Is there a good lichi or pick set you recommend for beginners?
Here’s the list of lishi picks for USA go through the list and see what you need. These are the only ones for US locks you have to decide of course Kwikset and Schlage and master padlock Lock and American padlock are good choices. ru-vid.comUgkxzKe_QKFgKSGPZQfU5Wh-r_pRlFE1Pjw6?si=hw8ACoDziXyKeHXq
@ethanliu122 there’s many ways to pin a cylinder. You can use all the chambers or you could just use a few so if you have the correct Lishi pick for let’s say a five pin chambered lock, but you only put in four pins or maybe two pins instead of all five then yes, it will pick it regardless of the amount of pins that you put in as long as it’s the appropriate lish pick for that lock cylinder. It doesn’t matter how many pins you put in you will love them with less pins because it will beeasier
Your key will be marked KW1 Kwikset or SCI Schlage ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-URc1eLU2a48.htmlsi=DahF8VeySJhDU77r ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y48QkqKMi60.htmlsi=aDfUuo8Wq5tiZdKa
Lishis are great for showing the jiggle test. I haven't used one for Masterlocks but heard they are tricky to use due to the poor tolerances in the lock.
Yeah, that jiggle test. If you do it right with the Master Lock I’ve got a little picking short in the back of one of my videos coming up the videos gonna be called rebuilding a Medeco lock and I picked through a Master Lock in the back at the end in about 30 seconds, once you get down the jiggle test all thelocks become simple err error errors
Great you can’t go wrong the price is cheap. You can cut it to size with the scissors and best of all it works. Hooray for you. Thanks for the kudos and cootie dues. I need all the kind words. I can find out there and you gave them to me in spades thanks again.❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊

Doing a long comment here, i had 6 discs herniated in my back and neck, my landlord sent these to my house after telling him the door had water coming all into the house i didnt want to slip, just watched your whole video, saw your youtube partnership(NICE!) And subscribed, liked, and am commenting as im currently about to try the seal on our door although it kind of looks like the frame of the door where the glass is, is leaking. Maybe the door sweep will fix it? Either way you were the only guy who had a detailed thorough video on these specific door sweeps. Thank you so much im gonna get started now!
PS I’m so happy you found my channel like I said you can’t go wrong and if you use the white weatherstrip, you can see white sunlight coming through as you can see in the video but if you use the dark brown one that will eliminate the light see-through barrier❤😂😂🎉😢😢😮😊

Do a #3 of the shelf better yet get a used one and see how easy it’s not, spent days mastering this lishi then the pin broke . Picking a nice core locks not hard glad you like it.
These are beautiful rock solid devices much better than any handpick on the market. You will love them, and if you treat them nicely and follow my directions in my other videos, they should last indefinitely don’t buy used by New. Be careful with them. Make sure you always lubricate your cylinder and you will have more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
I really want to get some Lishi tools, but I don’t really know which ones to get. I watched your original video discussing the sc1, sc4, kw1, and kw5, would those be a nice combo to purchase?
