Powder in Sölden in April? Damn that's nice. I'll better start praying now for us to get some in late March this year :D 3:00 looks absolutely sick with the clouds
(Btw. WSS waren Vor-Band von Parkway Drive in Dortmund)
They have some snow now - but not much. The area is actually two spots / resorts. Garmisch Classic and Zugspitze, and Daypass is valid for both, but you must decide, where to go, otherwise you will loose time going from one to the other. Classic is the bigger area for going piste... Zugspitze has only a few lines, but some good, not so steep areas for going off. Take care, cause it is very 'rocky' - especially with this little snow right now. I experienced this area also very crowdy during between X-Mas and New Year's Eve a few years ago [not so on New Year's Day]... but due to Covid, you might be lucky or not! Areas in Austria, I went this year so far were quite busy... more than I excpected.
@@mariusvonmatterhorn hey there, thanks for the feedback ! Ill be there on the 8th of January so I hope in the meantime it will snow some more... In any case, just going there for a weekend. I was seduced by the set up of the pists, which if snowy enough, allows you to obviously go easily "off pist" in between the official pists... Lets see how it goes, i hope there will be enough snow to allow a bit fun on the side ;)
Sehr coole GoPro Shots, cooles Video!
Wow!!! So awesome man keep shredding and jamming nice tunes! Checkout our powderful weekend out here in Colorado... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sA1V3QGRGEs.html
We started at Hinterglemm - Unterachschwarzbahn - Number 10. But it is not in the vid. Best place to stay, because there is one lift which opens already at 8 o'clock in the morning and you have posibilities for taking a sledge in the afternoon hours. sledge piste is open until 22:00. We also plan to go there again in January.
We had a little bit of a current when we went down (holding the rope during descending helped a bit) and when we went around the tail of the ship, where the flak is. But it is 4 years now, when I was diving the thistlegorm and it was around early september. Wind and current can change according to season. 🤷♂️ I know, that they have good wind now... but can't tell you exactly how this effects the current.
Thank You very much for Your warm comment. We were at Pitztaler Gletscher last week and went up 'Wildspitze' (It's the biggest mountain, You can see in the beginning of this video at 0:36) - it has been a dream for me to go up there, since the day we recorded this video - so... there will be a new video soon. If You like, just take a look on my other vids - they are nice, little reminders for me, and I become very thankful for having the oportunity to do and live through all this stuff when watching them even after years.
The video was recorded in May on the last two days of the last season. As you can see, there are good snow heights and conditions - but the expanded sun hours and high temperatures were already high. The snow was mostly baked to ice... a tiny, thin powder layer on top from snow falls day before, but that was pretty it.... and it was gone after 2-3 hours on the first day.
Zevinox, sorry for the bad news. But they are really lacking of snow. Tirol hasn't got lot of snow so far. This will change on next wednesday - but even though it is far away from good conditions. Better go (if you can) to the eastern Alps... they have better conditions for now.
I know.. we're going there in 10 days and I heard that they're expecting up to 60cm on wednesday. maybe it'll be a bit better once we're actually riding :)
