Starfield has a great setting. It’s not terrifying, it’s not utopia, it’s relaxing but still exciting. I am not a Trekkie but this seems like it will eventually lead up to Star Trek peace but is still in turmoil.
Fun fact: when doom 2016 was being made originally, the doomguy was going to be a generic marine with doomslayer looking armor, but near the end of development, they changed nearly everything about the doomslayer himself, turning him from a generic doom marine to a demon slaying deity that was pretty much the boogie man for hell.
This track is so under-appreciated. Might not go as hard as BFG but it's still just as good in my opinion. I love the alternating between quiet and loud and the slow crescendos get you so tense (in a good way).
I listened this version of the song for the first time yesterday, and I remembered that a close friend of mine who moved to a different country for college has played Fallout 76. Now I can't hear this without thinking about him... 😭
I hate this song so much. John Denver’s song was great but the fact that Bethesda hijacked the Ink Spots motif and then jams it into a song from 1971 really pisses me off.
