Hi. Excellent quotes, especially "the more I study science the more I believe in God". The only one I think needs further thought is "never let your brain get in the way of your heart". It needs balancing with "never let your heart get in the way of your brain". Both are only RELATIVELY true of course. A heart that is unchecked by the brain often runs amok, and the brain that is unchecked by the heart often commits atrocities. We are not one thing or the other, but both things together. It's in the balancing we find our common humanity. Cheers, P.R.
Agree with the need for balance in message conveyed. There's a good chance this quote by Einstein may have been part of a wider quote. Will require further reading and can be included in the future.
Hi I.W.. Thanks again for giving our classic thinkers a modern voice. Don't be discouraged by your low view-count and few comments. A(sq.) + B(sq.) = C(sq.) will live forever. All the best, P.R.
A few more from Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain): "Anger is an acid that can do more damage to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured." "The more things are forbidden, the more popular they become" “It's Easier to Fool People Than It Is to Convince Them That They Have Been Fooled.”
Listen to this podcast and decide what you want from life, happy or not it’s all up to you. You decided to come to this planet, you made a deal to honestly do what you promised you would, ❤❤❤
The best Revenge is to settle things eye for an eye, because that is true justice, to become better than your foe is nonsense depending on what damage was done, if it is physical damage, then being better won't make a difference at all, and the person who did it might not learn his lesson and keep on damaging others as well! It all depends, not everything is best resolved by forgiveness as it can cause more damage than acting revenge! It doesn't make sense to leave crimes unpunished!
Where there is no wood.. the fire goes out. The only thing psychotics and sociopaths should be allowed to have is space and time ( if that ). They have lost so much of their self control to the forces of evil that anything they are given will be used by evil. By simply loving Love on it skillfully .. one will win 🏆 every time !!
The meaning is roughly similar, but nuance and impact is lost in the paraphrase. Mark Twain said, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug"
