Founded over 45 years ago our goal is to spread and encourage the teachings of Taekwondo. From masters to young students we instill the five tenets of Taekwondo which are courtesy, integrity, perseverence, self control, and indomitable spirit. We train day by day to make sure that our teachings are taught well and that our students live on as amazing, impactful, and professional people. We are Master Kim's Taekwondo Institute.
I’m so glad your studio isn’t one of those mcdojo’s out there that claim to be super good. I’m a senior red belt turning 1st degree black belt and I’m seeing really positive things here that I’ve only seen at places like master shon’s. There is another master Kim who is a bit of a joke but you sir have a great program that can teach youth a number of things, keep it up!!
I trained under master Kim starting the day I turned 4, my mom teached under him as a black belt club master. I wish to visit my old master one of these days
I took taekwondo at Master Kim's in Rochester New York, from '90 to '93, when it was across from Irondequoit Mall and in the same plaza as Pizza Hut. Hell, I still remember Sung Chul's slick red Toyota MR-2 he used to whip around in. Wow, those were the times. Friday night USTU sparring classes were INTENSE! Man, we used to get it IN... me, Tyrone, Rodrigo, Chris, Todd, Sean... great times kicking the shit out of each other! However, I was the first of the crew to fall out of the fold once I fell in love with boxing and discovered Muay Thai in '93. I still got a mean left leg backkick, though.
