@@JasonSipe16 bro you don’t understand what I was going through that week. My ceiling fan broke, water heater and dryer all within two days. They say it happens in threes I got all Of them fixed. I was stressing
Wow, Im blown away this is exactly what is wrong with my vac. I would never ever have guessed it was that seal that I must of lost somehow.. I could grab ya & kiss ya, this has saved me 100's of dollars for buying a new one.. Thankyou ever so much. Im so very grateful ☺watching from Australia 🤗 Had to come back to say "shame on Ryobi for not at least glueing this seal in.".😒
I just recently purchased one and I can't believe they don't add the cartridge to the box you would think they would have to buy it separately which i don't mind
If you connect the filter to a drill and spin it it throws all the crap out of the folds I just use a length of threaded bar and a couple of washers and nuts works a charm
Great build. Torquedo can kiss my grits! Quick Q, if you can help: Why would my Minn Kota battery box's cigarette adapter only be on a 10a fuse? I use it to charge tool batteries with an inverter. My Dewalt is fine, but my Makita has a fan and it trips. Maybe I change to 15a, but is that bad joo-joo for other reasons?
This is the best video I've seen on this but it's a bit older so I would just add a few more things. Also, you use the activation method with sign on that I will try, which I think is best and easiest if you already have the active service and replacing xfinity equipment at your address. I've recently bought a Netgear CM1200 cable modem, which is on the approved list for xfinity (check their approved list online before attempting to install 3rd party equipment). It has 4 ethernet ports and can handle well over 1Gbps speeds (always make sure your 3rd party modem handles speeds faster than your xfinity speed or expected upgrade speeds) - my xfinity speed is below that. I got a good/fast TPlink dual band wifi router (wifi6 with 1Gbps/port) to improve the wifi speed and signal strength throughout my house. I actually have set that up first connected to the existing xfinity modem/router. I checked several different items like my laptop, phone and roku wifi connection speeds and they all are stronger and 50%-75% faster data speeds on the TPlink wifi over the xfinity wifi connection. I'm going to activate the new modem next using your method since I have existing service. To activate a 3rd party modem for a new xfinity account at a new address, it may be easier to use their phone app or just call their tech support, considering a lot of videos and comments I've seen and my past experience moving with xfinity activation. Xfinity internet equipment rental is now $15/month and I'm looking forward to saving that expense, especially now that my "introductory discount pricing" on t/v and internet has now ended.
You can also use the rubber sunglass holders that go on your sunglasses. I glued the ends with the glue gun. Fit and their nicely. Got great suction power.
I got a new 3000 psi version, and thing just blows GFI's, if not the outlet one then the one that comes with it, fact you cant add an extention cord, who's going to put in 30amp service to run this thing. Says only 13.5 amps, so it should run on any of my unused 15 and 20 amp outlets. This tells me they either are using the worng starting capacitor or they are just bad parts or there is some bind in the motor itself. Also came missing one wheel washer and clip. I could plug my old Karcher with 200ft extention cord into any outlet and the only way it would blow the GFI was if I got the outlet wet. Ryobi lost me with poor QC.
Hi Jason in stead of crimping i would have soldered the motor cables bloody good idea i need to do this modification to mine thank you very much Jason for sharing 😀 😊 ☺️
Thanks for posting this I’ve got the same motor and need to put in a new impeller and wanted a refresher on what to expect. Do you happen to know the year of yours ? They changed the paint scheme on the cowling thru the years and I was told that by identifying that can tell you what year it was made. Someone told me our paint scheme is 1986 - sounds about right ?
Thank you so much for these wonderful instructions! This happened to me just today. I had started at the bottom, worked my way up and cleared all I found inside. I was stuck staring at the filter part after realizing that the vacuum itself had plenty of suction. I watched your video, went outside to the trash can and promptly found the gasket. Yay! Hooray! I am back in business. :-) Thanks again!
Thank you very much for this diagnostic video. We just experienced the same exact problem yesterday and couldn’t figure out why (my daughter had used it and just by dumping out the debris, the gasket fell out without being noticed). Since everyone here had experienced the same issue, then it is a design flaw that could have been solved from Ryobi.
I couldn'ttell when you removed the crappy impeller if yours has cuts on that kind of like white loop?. Don't know if that's what's causing the rattling noise? I took it apart as you did. I will install.again. good video, thanks
Subscribed and liked. I did this and it works great, but when my turning motor was not adjusted correctly, I broke a few teeth of the white plastic gear. Any ideas on how I can replace those teeth with something else so I don't have to buy another.
Same dryer as mine. It's so old, but with help from you, it'll keep running for years to come. I got a quote for repair, and was going to be charged over $300. Got the kit for $35. Even got the drum roller kit to while it was already torn apart just to kill two for one while already torn down. You're the savings god, brotha! Thanks big time.
@michelleclardy9977 hmmm, did you check with the multimeter to see if there is actual power getting to it? You would need to have it plugged in and turned on
@@JasonSipe16 Thank you so much!! It was getting power but apparently when they changed out our A/C unit the week before, the breaker tripped. So while it was getting some power not the full amount needed. Reset the breaker and it fixed it.
Hi jason i just upgraded to a sand filter and dont want to get electrocuted in the pool haha do i need a special adpater for an outlet or a special extension cord because the pumps cord is very short and doesnt reach my outside outlet. Any help would be great thanks!
Good question. You'd be more likely to get shocked if the extension cord connects to the pump in the yard. It has a gfci, so if tjere is a short circuit, it will click off.
Hi Jason, For some reason i cannot open the top part its too tight (on your video 7:28). i tried with channel lock and added some WD40 to loosen it up but still nothing. Do you have any other suggestions?
I thought you were supposed to keep the cap on when back washing for 5 minutes then take it off when you switch it to rinse to rinse the dirty water out after the back wash 🤨
Thank you so much as it had me stumped! #@%$@#, ... supply and demand now have a 2 pack down to 9.99 on Amazon "2PCS Replacement Gasket Compatible with Ryobi 18v Stick Vacuum Cordless Dust Bin Lid, Canister Missing Seal Attachments for PCL720, PBLSV716, PBLSV717, Silicone Brand: MITCHENIFY"
@@JasonSipe16 I'm trying to understand which items are stationary and which are rotating. There is shaft/axis made of metal or in some pumps ceramics, there is magnetic impeller, spacers and the rotor that moves water. The noice made by the pump must be generated by axle play in the rotor socket and rotor vertical vibrations. That would indicate axis to be stationary and spacers being responsible for transfering impeller rotation to the rotor.
