Notice how the first death was him falling in the pool, the second was him being stabbed and the third one a combination of the former ones! This show is such a masterpiece, I kind of want to buy the script to analyze it further 🤭
the thing is when falling from that high, water feels like cement so Sunjae would’ve died, even if he hadn’t been stabbed, from the impact alone. it’s so sad that Sol’s had to go experience his death over and over again, her decision at the end was the only way to protect him cause she know he would choose to save her every time as long as he knew her
poor sol had no time to grieve at all 😔 so all her actions, albeit very frustrating, are understandable. she is just busy trying to save him whatever way she can as a fan, friend, lover in all timelines dramas on the back: love alarm and a good day to be a dog!

the thing is Sol didn’t want Sunjae close when the killer came to her so that’s why she left the train, hoping he would be far away cause remember the reason SJ was murdered in the first place was cause he saved her in all previous timelines. at least this time she had flashbacks to get an idea of when and how it would happen. To her it was better to get it done now w SJ out of the picture than to wait and potentially happening when her 20yr old self was back in her body and everything repeating itself
I wish the show gave us imsol point of view of these like an internal dialogue, *coz for me I get like how she doesn't wanna waste time, the moment she realized the future change and the opportunity to corner the killer I see it but not everyone apparently* they alwaysss misunderstood sol - like us she seen this an an alarming situation, she doesn't know anything about the when is she gonna go back so she took this opportunity.
If she had stayed on the train, the "accident" would follow its original course in the abandoned building. As she saw another future she tried to change it her way.
I have thought up a game for myself and it is to guess which kdrama is happening on the background screens. this time they are: True Beauty and The Legend of the Blue Sea.
He went to the rehab before right before these time travel happens. That's why he already have some manuals and rehab equipment for shoulder back in EP 1-2 I guess
The two are so selfless and kind Sunjee no matter what she does he keeps loving her and protecting her he is such a sweetheart ❤ Im sol is also so selfless and loving going back in time several times and hurting herself for the sake of his safety ❤ They deserve the world
just to be clear, it was never suicide. same like in episode 8, kim youngsoo was the reason why sunjae died in the og and first timeline. he was still a witness to sol's kidnapping, so youngsoo was after him, too.
Was it tho? I actually think it was indeed a suicide in the first ep because i don't think he opened the door in the first ep and he was depressed at that time so maybe it would have been murder if he would open the door but instead he just jumped in the first ep? (I'm just guessing tho)

So there is a theory of this 1st incident. In this time line, SunJae is sitting down and holding the watch, not standing outside of her hospital room like in previous episodes flashbacks. And we don’t hear her screaming “why did you save me”. It seems like in this time line, Sunjae did rescue her out of the water but she didn’t make it (they showed the date and time and it could be taken as her date/time of death- September 1st 11:53PM). & most think that ImSol’s death is what started the watch time travel. Like she had 3chances to save him, he tried saving her 3x as well and the timeline she remembers is the last timeline where he tries to save her from being paralyzed but wasn’t able to. 😢
27:08 what's more sad about this episode is that all the guilt all transferred to IMSOL while Sunjae doesn't know anything (which other people do not realize), she saw him die twice; she discovered that the reason Sunjae died was because of her and not because of depression; and she might be also tired of thinking how to save Sunjae. And plus the fact that she didn't even hesitate to come back in the past even though she can already walk, how selfless is she?
I actually cried so much on this scene as I am very immersed in IMSOL, sympathized with her. She was just a fan who decided to save her idol, she doesn't even loved him romantically before but when she was given a second chance, she still went back in time when she could've stay in the present.
