I make DIY sewing tutorials, thrift flips, and recreate looks. I love to sew and love sharing my passion with others. I hope to help you feel a little more comfortable, no matter your current level of sewing
I am a novice quilter and determined to make this, just wondering if you needed to join strips of the biased tape before binding and if so what method did did you use. Thank you
A better way to move feathers is to have a spray bottle of water. Dampen the feathers so they don't fly around and move them damp. Keep it damp till you sew it up. Damp feathers smell weird so you may want to put lavender in there or something, but i just did mine with water then let it dry.
Those who gave the best advice to put the bag inside your case missed something - your hole could hve been much bigger - way bigger to start with. Also don't avoid hand sewing. Pace yourself - hand sewing will in time become a best friend to better sewing. But I hear yah, I hate to machine stitch. Sooo boring up and down straight lines.
My Sewing is Not At Best...... How Can I Buy it....... I lived in S. A. CAPE Town. If Any Shops anywhere.... I Used to buy it frm a Nurse..... She Moved.
Making a quilt like this soon! So glad I found your video!! ❤ can you tell me what size double bias tape you used? I’m finding multiple sizes, 1 inch, 1/2, 1/4, 5/8, etc.
Could you please explain what kind of muslin? A beginner sewer may not know that there are different types of muslin……some are harder or thicker not good for a baby ,then you have the type of muslin that you are using.
What a lovely quilt, your encouraging me to bust out my Liberty Tana lawn. ❤❤❤ A small tip for you, to stop your ruler slipping when you cut put your pinky finger off the ruler and on the mat or use a heavy weight at the far end of your ruler. Thank you.
It would be easier for you to cut your fabric if you bought a cheap piece of plywood to place on top of your carpet but under your cutting mat. ❤hope this helps 😊 God bless you and yours ❤
Nice recycle idea! I have used French seams to make reversible smock-aprons out of a single layer of double-sided fabric (gingham check on one side and polka dot on the other.)
Thank you. I made this dress in a beautiful white textured material from India that I got at a thrift store for $2! Tomorrow I will make pattern B, the longer version with the same material. ❤. I love, love, love this cotton dress. So fun to make. Thanks for the instructions. They are so much better than the instructions with the pattern. 😂 🤣 😂
@@ElenaMarieSewing I think the longer one doest flow enough, so the cotton makes me look fat. I think a linen rayon blend would be nice. Something that flows.
hi I am new to this could you tell me when you place interfacing onto material to iron does it go on the right side or wrong side of material. Thanks for the video
The pillow was so old that there weren’t enough feathers anymore, and they were pretty beat up and not a good texture. If the feathers from an old pillow are still good you could totally use those and transfer to a new one!
Yes, you made it yourself!!! I am new to quilting and want so badly to make something beautyful and useful at the same time! Thank you for your videos.
