Very interesting to hear you talk about how both positive AND negative reinforcement are best when used in conjunction with each other for the betterment of the dog for its training. There is no one size fits all for every dog approach but it's not always just hotdogs and belly rubs. Regarding learned behaviors and e-collars when training a dog. Is it a possibility that a dog that was bred for certain things and is genetically predisposed to aggressive behavior, say a Presa in this case, could become more aggressive if the collar/timing and training was applied incorrectly? For instance this particular dog has apparently been in bite work training and the stim was used to get it to bite the sleeve where it wouldn't prior to the collar. It's now become more aggressive and even went after my dog while I was walking my dog Male (neutered and on leash). The other owner had their dog off leash (Female dog about 1.5 yrs or there about). They met in passing when she was a pup much before any formal training was done and things were fine.

Just my educated guess going by what Mr An Le described about his father role with the revival of horse racing in Saigon and the surname of the former sport president at the time; I guess his father is Mr Buu Le. Mr. Buu Le held position of president of Saigon department of sport, culture and tourism (this is changed by dividing the to smaller departments later by his suggestion because it is too big a job); then president of national department of sport. He made great contribution not only to the sports side, but also to build the great image of Vietnamese culture, and especially Saigon when he was in the office. If that guess is correct, it's no wonder Mr An Le possessing great understanding of sport, the know how to prepare and perform when he gets on the stage, even when it comes to a new sport to him.

Are there any KNPV clubs in Canada? None in the USA as most people in USA are ignorant when it comes to real dogs here if AKC registered they think it’s a good dog. Most people here could handle a real working dog!!!!

Amazing stories and great respect to both trainers. I use to show Rottweilers in the ckc ring as well and know what it’s like when your the new one in the ring and your winning. Keep up the great training and hopefully everyone can respect each other and help each other obtain there titles together.
I would rather my dog go through some training sessions with a little shock or two than wind up with a dead dog lying in the road because he didn't come when called. But then i happen to like my dog even if he can be a pain in the ass. Positive only training is a joke unless you have a weak temperament dog, i have an extremely high energy, alpha male that will weigh in at approx 120lbs when grown and im 67, do you really want me to have an untrained dog. NO
Law says they have to be on the leash, doesnt say anything about having to hold on to the leash lol. Id always just drap it over my dogs back and kinda tuck it into the harness strap so it didnt drag or catch him up when i was training mine. Although no one ever said anything to me about it anyways.
