Didgeridoo made modern in the Pacific NW by Jeff Cooper. You've never heard a didge played like this before! Weather he's on parade with the Dreamtime Marching Band, bluesn' it up with Vivid Curve, rockn' the dancefloor in the tribal trio Jhana, rolln' out the jams with the Latenight Freekout Odyssey, or under the Burnside bridge as the Urban Shaman himself, Jeff's sound will leave you amazed.
Thank you very much for these wonderful, colour (proper spelling) and shape-shifting marvels, I discovered them over 20 years ago as I was chilling with my mate who introduced me to them. So there we were in my flat, watching fractals, listening to Pink Floyd, eating munchies and feeling all mellow and happy. Ah those were the good old days when I was younger and had no stresses or responsibilities, then I got older and it all went down hill. So here and there I choose most merrily to shut my curtains to the rest of the world and recreate those happier times and listen to Floyd (or something else good) and watch these dancing, colour-melting fancies. Long Live Fractals, S.O.S = Save Our Sanity from the Cost of Living, N.H.S, Social Care ........ETC! 😊❤🔴🟡🟢🔵🟣🟤⚫⚪✳✴🎆🎇✨🎊
Just want you to know, you personally had a huge impact on my initial portland experience. My first week in town saw you performing this on public access. Months later hanging out on foster heard some didge from down the road, placed a bet with fresh girlfriend that it was the guy from public access, went across the street to Starday and you were playing Among his tribe and I won $100. We are still together and to this day she will not bet me on anything. Thanks brother.
We met playing music in the park blocks of Portland Oregon back in 2003, and have been jamming ever since. As Vivid Curve, The Late Night Freak Out Odyssey, and now as a two piece called The Urban Shaman, the name I've always used since before 9/11. Platonic life partners like Jay and Silent Bob. Ride or die comrades, partners in crime, brothas from anotha motha.
How were these made? Obviously with a computer, but how were the designs figured out? They are quite beautiful. Cool to watch after smoking a little bit of weed!
Electric Electric Sheep is a collaborative abstract artwork founded by Scott Draves. It's run by thousands of people all over the world, and can be installed on almost anything. When these computers "sleep", the Electric Sheep comes on and the computers communicate with each other by the internet to share the work of creating morphing abstract animations known as "sheep". Anyone watching one of these computers may vote for their favorite animations using the keyboard. The more popular sheep live longer and reproduce according to a genetic algorithm with mutation and cross-over. Hence the flock evolves to please its global audience.
Thanks to you great work of making a compilation of the artwork by Scott Draves & the Electric Sheep I used it (with some modification to synch it) in a Melodic Techno & House mix: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WFi4od6E0hI.html
I Like this, thank you. The Mandelbrots are very samey, once you have a favourite or 2 the others don't live up to them. Have been searching for something different in fractals, the Kaleidoscopes are nice but often on very brief Loops. Neither do I enjoy the Ambient Sound genre of music, play my own on another tab. Also have a lot of Stormy Weathers on 8hr 10hrs play. How I find the time to leave comments I just don't know! Quite rare to do so, yep, I like this. THANK YOU!🧓🌀🌈
I have a playlist of some custom fractals that move in very unique ways in a playlist on my channel too. Glad you dig it. Don't work to hard now! Cheers!
@Laurafiel I feel the same way. Many videos on yoo toob are so generic. I don't ever see comments that talk about it and thought I was the only one. What is Stormy Weathers? Always on the look out for quality videos so I am curious what you are talking about. My playlist titled "psychedelic" has some of the best ones of all kinds if you feel like digging for new stuff yourself. I am in the process of filtering out bad ones so there may be some duds in there still..
@@PlaysWithChildren Hi, many thanks for your reply. I have a 'Trippy' Playlist too- for the amazing visuals. STORMY WEATHERS is my sweeping term for all kinds of 8-10hr videos of well.. Storms. Search for Thunder and Lightning (I personally prefer the No Rain versions- quite a few around), Storms at Sea are great too. I believe that they come under the Nature Video genres. I sleep a lot better with one playing through the night. There are a lot of peaceful Ocean Wave videos too. Yep, still filtering out a few duds! Enjoy X
Just amazing! Ty Urban Shaman!! I'm showing you to all my friends. We met years ago when you were showing your brother how to make digeridoos out of PVC!!!
Upcoming shows: Dec. 11th at Georgie's Garage and Grill in Vancouver, WA. Dec. 18th at Gator's in Tigard OR. Jan. 8th at The Hippie Museum in Springfield OR.
There are more fractals than the Mandelbrot set or Hilbert curves. :-) Fractals are self-similar, repeating, sometimes chaotic. All issues I can see in Electric Sheep animations.
I've seen them twice recently. After Phish in eugene, and in woodland for halloween. Very awesome! I'm trying to find out where they are playing at next so I can bring some friends who will totally love it. C u guys soon.
@@theurbanshaman Thank you I think I sent you a friend request on Facebook or maybe I accepted it... lol I don't know I'll be working in Washington all weekend
