Hi! Is the year on the bottom of the car 1984 or 1989? I heard that the Ecto 1 is always 1984 and the Ecto 1a is 1989. I would like to know if that is true, but I don't know anyone with an original Ecto 1a. Thank you
Amazing. I never had this as a child as my parents couldn’t afford it. I got one from eBay recently, but it is a variant with no purple paint. I think I will try to do what you did to add the purple paint to the front. Thank you sincerely for your care. Beautiful work and great video!
I was thinking the same, but over a year on and it’s still holding strong. Even harsh storms and it’s battling through. Probably replace with a new sign this year. Thinking an OCP sign.
if you had attached the led light strip around the black base on the inside it should have shown bright enough to light up and the light wouldn't have needed displacement since the lights wouldn't b shining directly into the white sheets
Dude I am LOVING your channel so far! I watched the Ghostbusters VHS so much when I was a kid it stopped working. Im currently printing your GB1 sign right now. I cant wait to mount it in my office/print space.
Oh man. I literally sold my fight zone a couple of weeks ago! The puppet needed some steam cleaning love to bring it back to life! I'll see if I can get my hands on another one.
My son lost one of my doors for my Ecto-1. I do 3d printing but have no clue how to do 3d modeling. Have you come across any 3d printable files for these pieces?
Hey Thanos88888888, the only decent ones I've found are here, bit pricy for a model like this if I'm honest. - cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/ghostbusters-ecto-1-vintage - Replacement Ecto1 parts show up on eBay all the time my friend.
I came across this on thingyverse, currently I'm in the process of making it, I have reduced the size by 10% just to get it printed quicker but oh my god it blew me away as the original GB was one the best movies I went to see as a child. Going to make 2 one for the side of the house and 2nd for work. Thanks for sharing! And a great video to go with it! Subbed xx
did you just run a blank sticker sheet through a standard printer or did you have a specific machine? looks a lot easier then fiddling w a mod podge transfer.
Yes, just a simple sticker sheet at 100%, measured and scaled against the print in mm. I usually use my Cricut machine but I didn’t have the right paper to hand for cutting so I went old school.
