They have shown multiple times that for them, specifically Cam, see Lily as an accessory. They had they pictures in the middle of the living room without Lily until she grew a little and placed a drawing on it. Cam often dresses her up in ridiculous outfits for photosoots when she was little, they had a drawing of themselves in her bedroom instead of drawing her with them, the one time Cam taught Lily a math equation to show off she was smart and when Luke asked her something else and she responded the same, Luke said “Congratulations, you got a parrot”. They make her participate in dances and plays where she’s no interested, they made her cat run away because they didn’t like it and didn’t bother to address the situation, on her first kindergarten day they made it all about themselves and caused a scene.
My favorite one is when they were in the restaurant. (I forget the exact way he said it) I think it was Cam & he said everyone should just go back to their own countries and everyone in the restaurant was from a different geographical location. And then everybody was staring at him, and then they left the restaurant. 😂😂
And then in the vietnamese restaurant he was like, "honestly everyone should go back to where they came from" 😂😂 (he meant in the context of discovering and engaging in one's cultural roots)
